I always thought vaping is illegal in most places including licences premises. But they allow one certain customer to vape in Bluecoats. If you like I’ll photograph him next time if you have no objections.
Went in on a football day. Mixture of Rotherham and Swindon fans. Everyone chatting with each other. Great atmosphere. The young ladies behind the bar where amazing. Sorry didn't see the other staff but can imagine they are just as good. Will be back
been in this pub few times, the service was friendly, the quality of meals were basic , with that price you are not expecting too much. chips were crispy, chicken wings were plenty. beaware some meals are including drinks. good selection of drinks and their prices were low. guinness was £2.58 a pint. other pubs in peak district you won't even get half a pint. tea and coffee are refillable it was only £1.02.
Nicely positioned on the fringe of the town centre.plenty of people in the pub for a Wednesday breakfast time.Perhaps it's ready for an upgrade internally other than that absolutely fine.Grest staff.
Came in about 6-20pm tonight for food and a few drinks table 23 , good service but the skinny chicken burger was as dry as a nuns fanny
This was a lovely pub to visit, having a grand old design conveyed by the raw style of the walls! The entrance is very stylish and the bar was well presented, where me and my friend were served by friendly staff. I enjoyed a refreshing pint of Blood Orange Cinder, good on Wetherspoon's for this new drink! The seating is comfortable, cleanliness had been enforced and a light on the wall made a nice addition.
More attractive from the outside than the inside ,but as with all Spoons a great pint and lovely staff.The toilets however do need some attention, very few were working and those that were weren't very clean.Car park down a hill at the rear of the pub but limited to an hour for £1 pay and display.
It was a shock to discover that our previously favoured watering hole, the Corn Law had been closed down and recently gutted by a fire but the kind and friendly local police directed us to the Blue Coat, a charity school built in 1776, now lovingly preserved by JD Wetherspoons, continuing the social theme with Ruddles ale at 99p a pint. Great pub. Quick, friendly service at prices you can afford. Usual excellent Wetherspoons food available.
