My visit to this pub was thoroughly disappointing. The overall cleanliness left a great deal to be desired — the tables were sticky, the carpets were dirty, and the glassware appeared poorly washed. The restroom facilities were in an unacceptable condition, with unpleasant smells. Suggesting that cleaning and maintenance are not being carried out regularly. No glass collecting or plates once eaten. Equally concerning was the attitude of the landlady, who was both rude and unwelcoming. Her personal appearance did not reflect a professional standard, and her manner toward customers was dismissive. She also made it quite clear that she does not like children playing, which created a very uncomfortable and uninviting atmosphere for families. Overall, the pub felt neglected and poorly managed. I would not recommend visiting until substantial improvements are made to cleanliness, hospitality, and customer service.
I can't believe the reviews! Service was terrible & so was the food. The manageress/ landlady was sat on her backside in front of the TV, feet up, on her phone at the top of her voice swearing. Nobody even in the place so don't get the popularity. I won't be bothering again & my suggestion to others would be give it a miss & go elsewhere.

Not only is this a lovely pub with a great atmosphere, I would highly recommend there food throughout the week and the Sunday dinner is something else's very tasty meats were cooked perfectly and is definitely value for money
Great atmosphere. The tables were very clean and tidy. The food was good everyones arrived at the same time even though we all had different things it was piping hot. The staff were welcoming and friendly. I will definitely be visiting again.
Really nice local, large interior with well appointed decor and friendly staff. Decent selection of beers and other drinks. Definitely recommend if in the area as the options in Handsworth are now limited.
