Year 13 prom ruined by ignorant staff. Called a young adult a nonce for enjoying his prom with his girlfriend he was 18 and she’s 17 (about to turn 18). Staff member was rude and disrespectful. Would not recommend as they also refused to serve alcohol even when id was provided. Absolute disgusting atmosphere provided by staff.
Lovely pub. First impression was its cleanliness! Cracking pint of Wainwright and son in law stated how good his Guinness was. Sky Sports. Nice warm welcome.
Called in for a quick pint after finishing work on Friday 24th March with my partner and small dog (yorkshire terrier). We seated ourselves on a small table at the side of the bar out of the way of everyone. I placed my jacket on the seat and picked Benji up (the dog) to sit with us. The young girl behind the bar with blond hair was lovely and even brought him some fresh water to drink, then, i assume, forgive me if I'm wrong, the landlady walked behind the bar and leaned over to say "What are you doing up there bugalugs?" To which i said "oh im sorry, should he be on the floor?" To which the lady leaned over the bar, looked me in the face and said "well, no animal should be on the furniture should they??"if that's the case then 1. Put a clear sign up saying so and 2. Make sure your staff pre warn everone that enters your premises with a dog that they are not to be lifted on seats.
Went in thus afternoon, and the bar lady was so rude. Didn't even cracked a smile or be friendly. Just said what you want and then kept staring at me all the time I was in there. Definitely should not be in the pub trade with an attitude like that.
Had a nice catchup with friends over Christmas here. The bar staff were really friendly, it has a decent pool table, it is what I would call a proper pub.
Great atmosphere. hot, fresh food and plenty of it. In a separate room to the main bar, great outside seating area and a car parking. Brilliant
