   First time here to eat food and it was lovely. Staff very friendly and helpful . I wanted to move seats because the air con was on and I was cold so we moved and I informed them and it was not a problem. Food arrived within 5 /10 mins .

   Very nice, a little tired, but very good food, nice cold pints, beer garden, hotel, close to town centre, very good value drinks and food. Quick service, must have been asked 3 times if I was being served, while waiting for drinks, excellent service. Recommend.

   What a disgusting place. The tables were covered in used plates, cups, etc & hadn't been cleared for ages. Everything stuck to the tables & you had to peel the menus apart as they were stuck together by goodness knows what. The toilets were a health hazard in their own right. This pub must be the dirtiest Wetherspoons in the country & is no great advert for either Wetherspoons or Chesterfield. Do not bother visiting. We left to find somewhere cleaner & far more welcoming elsewhere.

   Visited today with friends from work. At 16:31 I ordered a simple Tennessee chicken burger via the Wetherspoons app, after clicking for payment the order didn’t process. I tried a second time and success the order and payment went through! However, I quickly noticed the app had added a second duplicate meal onto the transaction? Confused, I went straight over to a member of staff, who happened to be the manager on duty, stood by the kitchen door a few feet away. He said let me check in the kitchen and at 16:32 he said it was all being prepared and nothing could be reversed or changed. I can only think everything is made fresh seconds from ordering? I explained, I did not order the meal, their app added it onto the transaction. He completely refused to help/give me a refund and ridiculously I ended up with two meals. Overall, it’s not really the £9 odd they robbed from me but the principle of it. I can only think they must be very desperate to sell a below average cheap burger? I look forward to continuing this matter further with DEFRA and the Ombudsmen.

   We visited on a Sunday afternoon. Very laid back atmosphere. Not too busy but enough people to create a nice ambience. Excellent beers to suit both my and my husband's tastes which are opposite! Lovely staff who treated customers like people and not another item to be dealt with and dispatched. Ticked all our boxes, will definitely return. Thank you
