Can't believe after living in Sheffield for 2.5 years yesterday was the first time I'd made it to the Dorothy Pax! A decent selection of beers and ciders, spirits too. Inside is fairly small and dark, but it's all part of the experience. Outside was a number of benches by a bit of the canal, which was lovely to sit at when the sun was shining down yesterday ☀️ Two decent sized toilets with sanitary items available for those who need - this always is such a good thing to do, and any establishment that does this gets very high marks in my book! There was excellent music being played, and they have various live music and other things going on. Will definitely be back soon! Update: just been here for a gig, such an amazing venue for live music!!!

What a lovely venue. Friendly bar guy, good service and cool ales and beers in cask and keg. Inside and outdoor seatings available next to canal. Hot day and chilled beer. You must try this place.

Fab bar, amazing selection of beers on tap and bolltled. Knowledgeable and helpful staff make the decision-making process easy! Quirky interior and an outdoor, sun-drenched seating area by the quayside.

Had a gig there. Warm welcome. Good house sound system. Lots of people around (Easter). Went back as guest for another show, 2 days later. Excellent atmosphere, with very nice, sometimes quirky/funny details. Helpful, very friendly staff.

I found this place by chance as I was visiting an art exhibition there, so stopped for a pint and to sit by the canal which was rather pleasant! Friendly people, seemed to have a good following with some local regulars present. A good spot for a summer evening drink and not to far from town. Easy to park the other side of the canal. Will visit here again and would like to explore the area a bit more!

One of my favourite pubs in Sheffield. The interior is a bit dull, but outside by the canal is where you want to be. Most of the seating is covered so it's still accessible if it's raining. The area is lovely and peaceful. The cobbles on the street are nice but could make it difficult if you're pushing a pram or wheelchair. The staff are fantastic and always friendly. Of course, being in Sheffield, the selection of crafts ales/lagers never disappoints and is always changing. Well worth a visit.

My favourite pub not just in Sheffield but ever. The music is always class and the people are so nice. From outdoor fires, amazing mulled cider, the classic rhubarb cider I always come back for to being blessed by the presence of Dorothy the cat. Have so many good memories here, love you guys!!!

Cool off kilter bar … unique decor and random AF music policy… we heard Club Tropicana twice within 1 hour. 80s so hip now?! Excellent places to sit on a sunny day Good selection of drinks. Amazing toilet !

First visit to the canal basin. It was a lovely spring day to sit outside. The bar is in one of the arches and serves great Real ales and cider. I had the American Pale Ale by North Riding brewery. Excellent. Expect more bars and cafes to spring up in the area north east of the city centre.About 10 min walk from the main train station.
