   Went in for a visit and a meal at lunchtime. Was served quite quickly by Chloe who was pleasant and helpful. Atmosphere was good even for lunchtime. Had scampi and chips which was lovely, hot and very tasty. My daughter a mixed grill, unfortunately, the steak was a little overcooked for her. This was rectified straight away with no problem by Charlotte. Offered an apology and sorted out a new one. Thanks Charlotte. The pub was clean and staff were constantly on the go making sure everything was good. Definitely going back. Charlotte and Chloe were friendly and chatty not something that's found often these days.

   I have now booked a table here twice for work events. They happily provide us with a lovely snug area to sit together. This time we had a team meeting with all our laptops, having a presentation and they couldn't have been anymore helpful or welcoming. We had a mix of afternoon tea and meals between us but it was all served at the same time and was fabulous value for money. Will definitely be back again.

   They moved the pool table upstairs after refurbishment and there's no access for disabled people. Quite sad as we have been accompanying people there for years who enjoyed this because it was ground floor and had an accessible toilet nearby. It has been replaced with yet more food tables, of which there were already many downstairs

   We had a midweek wedding reception in the upstairs area. Charlotte was great throughout and very responsive to emails which helped with the planning/organising. She was also happy for us to reorganise the tables and provide our own decorations. The buffet was great and good value for money. It was a quieter atmosphere to what you may have a the weekend, but this fit in perfectly with what we wanted. All the staff were friendly and helpful throughout the day, adding to a perfect day for us!

   We visited the Bessemer on a Friday afternoon. Very comfortable seating and spacious. The staff are friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the food I ordered, BBQ burger and chips were not as good as I hoped it would be. That was a let down. But overall we enjoyed our visit. Thank you

   Called in this public house? late afternoon, all, we are pensioners?, Kinds of seating to suit you? i am a mobility scooter user had no trouble it was very good it had disabled toilet great, staff helpful & friendly, we only stopped for a drink doombar great beer n Martini lemonade, will call again to try the food. Thanks n cheers
