   Absolutely ridiculous. It’s New Year’s Eve, my fiancé and I are out, second place we want to go is Yates’s, neither are drunk. We got stopped at the entrance by 2 bouncers saying he had to cover the logo on his t-shirt with the over shirt he was wearing. He thought they were joking, apparently not. We walked away. Will not return. He had been in the same club, 2 months ago in the exact same outfit, same t-shirt without an over shirt. Power hungry idiots manning the doors of one of the busiest places in Sheffield… quite frankly absurd. Avoid at all costs.

   Our server was called Brooke, and the service she provided was amazing. We did a bottomless brunch here and it was the best experience ive ever had, we didnt even need to wait for drinks and food. Honestly 10/10, will definitely come here again

   Popped in on a Sunday night for food. Football was on and there was some shouting but all in jest and no trouble. Disappointing food, peas were cold and dried out, chicken overcooked and cheese tasted like a liquid cheese on the hunters chicken, all cold and on a cold plate, dessert of churros was like a kids dessert and nothing like the picture on the menu but tasted nice. Coffee machine was broken and I was offered a filter coffee with extra milk, I wasn’t offered a refund for the latte. Overall it was a let down and it was clearly the food that was the issue. We used the Wetherspoons across the road the night before and it was much cheaper and food was much better. I cannot fault the staff serving us at Yates as they were very polite and friendly. We wouldn’t return for food.

   Will never come back, absolutely awful services the food was horrendous. The male bartender bringing the food dropped part of it on the floor didn’t even apologise. I ordered a mixed grill with a medium rare steak that was well done, the re cooked steak again was over cooked but at this point I just ate it as the rest of the food was going cold. Not once did we revive an apology from any member of staff. The chef was more bothered about watching a group play pool than cook the food. It’s a shame as iv been coming in here regally lately spending between £60/£150 a time I won’t be wasting my time by coming agin. Pub was quiet due to an overly roundly group playing pool deterring customers. 2 members of bar staff one yet tables that had empty glasses on them at point of entry still had the same glasses on them at point of exit. The picture attached is the second attempt at getting medium rare right. Date of purchase 10/04/25.

   This was, without exaggeration, the most regrettable dining experience of my life. The vegetables were soft and pallid, barbeque wings were squishy and the main was forgettable. I love a bit of simple, affordable pub food. This was not that - just straight up bad.

   Me and my friend loved this bar, where the atmosphere is lively especially with the leaves and lights! The service was fast and we enjoyed our 2 for 1 cocktail deal, also the toilets were clean like the rest of the area.

   Great bar. Watch out for dwarves trying to stick glow sticks up girls dresses though. Not too much of an issue for me I must admit.
