Came here for Halloween party and it was a very memorable night. Drank too much but YOLO eh? Anyway thanks to the wonderful staff for being so welcoming and also serving us timely despite it being rammed. Will return soon ❤
Ben behind the bar is a real asset to this place, great service and he is genuinely friendly. The Ball is definitely is the best pub on Crookes. The food is always great. We love the monthly friendship lunch.
Went to The Ball Pub on a Wednesday and was really impressed. They have a great deal for a burger meal and a drink for just £10, which is fantastic value. The food was delicious, and the beer garden was a lovely spot to sit and enjoy the evening. The staff were also incredibly friendly and welcoming. I'd highly recommend it!
Absolutely favourite pub, food is amazing tasty, fresh, and lots of flavour. The staff are welcoming, friendly and go above and beyond for their customers. Love the events that the Ball hosts which creates a brilliant atmosphere. There is no better pub in Sheffield!
Great pub great atmosphere. Nice sections for eating , outside and bar for drinks. Staff very nice friendly and down to earth. Good value for money. We had sharing platter - mostly fried stuff but good to indulge once in a while. Good selection on beers.
The ball is a lovely, cozy, local pub. Amazing food and good beer on tap. Would deffo visit if in the area for breakfast, lunch or dinner.
It was really nice decor inside the pub good menu We eat on a Sunday, so I had a Sunday dinner and could not complain at anything
Been a while since Paulicarus visited The Ball. Had a refurb recently. Large open plan pub with patio to the front. Huge beer garden to rear. Getting very busy on Dec 21 with most tables pre booked. Food served, going down a storm. Plenty of TV's. Would be a bit iffy for me if it did not have a great real ale selection. First pint of Peak Ales Chatsworth Gold in several years. Excellent.
friendly / helpful staff, very warm atmosphere, wonderful food and excellently priced drinks. scrabble tables in pub & refurb is excellent, will definitely come again !!
Food is god awful, only thing that tastes alright is the sweet potato fries. You can’t really mess that up otherwise that would be very concerning. Chicken looks and tastes slightly raw. Steak over cooked when I asked for medium rare. Gammon is definitely raw. Just come here for drinks. Nothing else. A blunt but honest review from me. Service and staff were okay.
