   Love going to the Ambil. The girls behind the bar aren’t just stunning—they’re absolutely on top of their game, serving pints with a smile and being genuinely lovely. Leslie, the landlady, is incredibly welcoming, and the atmosphere throughout the pub is all good vibes and laid-back charm. It's always a great time there!

   I like this pub because I spent many a lunch hour in there whilst at Stannington College (1986 to 1989) and because it serves John Smith's Magnet. It's lost some of its sparkle but remains a decent pub for the local community. Pubs like this are fighting a continous battle of wholesale price increases and a change in drinking habits. It deserves (y)our support!

   A good traditional pub with a good atmosphere. There are all the usual lager beers and ales on behind the bar but nothing out of the ordinary. Lots of the younger end clientele get in here. I’ve enjoyed the few times that I have been in.

   A nice traditional local pub,reasonably priced choice of beers and lagers and a good selection of spirits. Recently extended there beer garden with decorative decking and tables overlooking the carpark .
