Excellent place to rest after a visit to Rivelin Valley Trail, this day I was served by Aaron the bartender who gave me great service, thank you very much for the good vibes...without a doubt this is what makes the difference in places
Had heard good things about the food here, so after a recent day out walking and before going to watch the ice hockey, we thought we'd give it a try. Unfortunately they'd stopped serving food it was only about 5.30. Gentleman behind the bar was really polite, welcoming and lovely, and the locals suggested a few other places to try. Menu looked ok, nothing outstanding though. Decor dated. It's not somewhere I'd look to try again though

This place is amazing, proper pub food and not a single frozen chip to be seen. All food is homemade, and tastes” just like mother used to make “. A friendly warm welcome awaits and prices that still leaves you with enough to get the bus home.
Stumbled across this pub while in the area, and what a little hidden gem! Dog friendly (massive tick), a warm welcome from the staff upon entry and excellent service. The food is menu is enough to please most and very fairly priced! Good quality meals as well. Definitely recommended to anyone wanting a cosy welcoming place for a drink and a bite to eat
