   Lovely back street pub located a short walk from the Crooks High St. Good real ale and friendly vibe. Small beer garden to rear. 4 real ales. Casta had a pint from Purity. Very good.

   It's a local pub full of local people... and students who want to feel like local people. It's genuinely a lovely place. It's cosy and has period decor. It's got a large beer garden out the back. The prices are reasonable verging on good value. They have the odd event. Most importantly in an evening they'll put out chips and bread and allow you to help yourself to chip butties. What's not to love.
