   Having been coming here for many years our bookings are quite large. Came here as a large booking on the 9th and again today the 18th Nov. I rang up and double checked the booking on the 15th to be told no party of 18 was booked in but this was quickly rectified. Today , 18th Nov we came as a booking of 18 for my daughter’s 18th birthday. The food was very late. And one meal actually came out frozen! Many meals arrived very late or not at all! However. One person who saved the disaster from getting worse was Louise. She was absolutely fantastic. Her manner , her attitude was way beyond excellent! This lady went above and beyond on everything. She was clearly under pressure and just accepted it and tried to rectify the many errors what came our way. She really is a breath of fresh air and I hope she gets rewarded for her hard work and determination , she truly is a credit to the crosspool. I’m unsure we would be retuning after spending 20 plus years attending here due to how the food has gone down hill. I just wish all staff here was like Louise , she made our time worth staying, thankyou so much Louise, you’re effort and patience was so much appreciated ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

   I visited for the first time last Sunday with my family. We got a very warm welcome at first and the carvery was nice. However, after ordering desserts for the table, we kept waiting and waiting but nothing came. We asked at least 4 different individuals over at least 45 minutes as to when we would likely receive the desserts ordered, each said they would follow up. Eventually, nearly an hour after ordering the desserts were FINALLY presented. It was then noted to us that the dessert ingredients were unavailable so they had been replaced with something else. It wasn't discussed prior to serving, nor was it checked if the replacement was acceptable and suitable. Thankfully we have no allergies, however, this was not checked before making substitutions. There was also very little acknowledgement for the EXTREMELY long delay and incomplete order. I would say my experience until the desserts was a good one, but this certainly let the whole experience down. Please ensure that you acknowledge customers who are waiting excessively for orders and any substitutions should ABSOLUTELY be checked and confirmed with the customer before just being presented. This could have ended badly if anyone had an allergy to the replacement.

   10/10 once again, food was lovely and staff are all amazing. Louise is here every time we come and she is always so welcoming, friendly with our children and happy to be here. Bar staff and host also really friendly and enjoy conversing with the whole family. Price is fantastic and the kids love the ice cream machine!

   Louise was very lovely, as per usual. The meal was only dampened by how we got the gentleman who gives very little meat for the carvery. Louise gave us a pizza box for our leftovers (not including any meat because there wasn't much). We overall had a very nice time despite not eating much meat. Genuinely though big up Louise for getting us through it

   Me and my partner came here for the first time to enjoy a meal and a drink. Lovely atmosphere and location. Louise served us; she was friendly and welcoming, thanks again for having us and we will be back for sure!

   Had a 50% off voucher so thought id give it another try, ordered a large carvery, food this time was a lot better, didn't try the turkey or pigs, so I can't comment but everything else was much better. Came in with my partner for a carvery, nice and polite staff, paid extra for all trimmings. The beef gravy, potato and leek mash, Yorkshires and stuffing were very nice, the beef was the best of the meats, the gammon was also nice but a little dry, the turkey was very dry and unable to swallow without the gravy, the pigs in blankets were burnt which was annoying as I'd paid extra for these, roasties were old and dry, I was told more was coming out but had about 15 mins to wait for these, I ended up having a few old ones and after finishing my dinner I went back up for fresh ones which still took another few minutes of waiting to come out, didn't try the peas because they were dry and shrivelled up. I think less but more frequently food should be put out.

   Called in for a quick bite to eat. Not been here for years but was pleasantly surprised. Food was great value and service was quick, plus the beer was good and at a reasonable price! It'd a decent pub in Crosspool and worth a stop, while it's not Gordon Ramsey style, it's not bad for what it is!

   Food and drink quality are good. No issues relating to the Tavern or staff, BUT BOGGED OFF with them using EURO CAR PARKS. Although signs are posted up....HAD I KNOWN BEFORE ENTRY that cameras were up, I would NOT have entered car park. Advice: they can and HAVE brought prosecutions up to 6 YEAR after any alleged contraventions. Tonight I have taken photo of car position on entry and evidenced exit, plus picture of the terminal screen inside Tavern that allowed me to park until Sunday. Having received a summons previously I am extremely cautious and avoid, where possible these esblishments that support these racketeering parking companies. I will also email Euro Car Parks to ensure that my details are removed off their systems and will also request my details under GDPR regulations.
