An excellent pub. I'm coeliac and the staff were incredibly helpful in showing me what I could have on the carvery. And as an added bonus, they had gluten free Yorkshire puddings. Self-serve veg so you can pick and choose the amounts. The pub itself looks great, great decor, cosy, dog friendly.

We went for the Sunday carvery which was pretty good! We were a little late in the day so only complaint from some in our party was it could have been a little hotter - but I think this is a common issue with carveries in general. I had the gammon and lashings of veg and gravy it was very tasty. A table service meant we didn't have to go to the bar, and our vegetarian meal was cooked specifically and we ate together. Definitely worth the trip to the countryside for this place

The food is absolutely wonderful, the staff are pleasant and friendly. Great atmosphere and super busy. Get booked in well in advance or you'll never get a carvery!

We are trying loads of new places this yeah and finally tried Bradfield Plough. We booked online as there was 8 of us but this probably wasn't necessary at 4pm on a Friday but it was getting busier when we left around 7pm. We booked the barn and this had a restaurant feel but as we were the only ones in it the atmosphere was pretty quiet. The lounge area still looks lovely and a nice place to stay with a bit more of a buzz about it. The menu isn't massive but had enough choice that everyone could find what they wanted and I think this also contributed to the fact that every meal was great. The Steak & Ale pie was probably the best of our picks but the Fish & Chips and Lasagne were also top drawer. The desserts were all fantastic as well. The staff were all very friendly. Not just polite friendly - genuinely friendly and you could have a laugh with them and they seemed to care. We also felt the pricing was very reasonable considering how nice it is and the quality of the food. The other great things about it is the options of local ales and the fact it's got a pretty big beer garden to chill out in. Would recommend this place to anyone.

My friend and I popped in here for a bite to eat today, a Monday lunch time. They offered several meals on a lunch menu for £5 each. Not long after we ordered, our food was brought out nice and hot. My friend had egg, chips and beans, I had pie chips and peas. Pretty good value these days. Can't beat it.

Tasty food, great price for the Sunday roast, nice atmosphere. Definitely recommended. During summer the outside sitting area must be amazing!

Been quite a few times in the past, and quite a few times on boxing day. But this year was different, we booked in advance like we always do as there are normally carols on in the pub, but this year due to restrictions they were cancelled (which was not a problem at all). We sat at our table and ordered our food, my other half’s main was wrong, which they did offer to change and did apologise for, but having 2 kids as well, and trying to get everyone eating at the same time, we said no it was fine. Even though we highlighted the problem, they still charged us full price for the wrong main meal. It may seam petty, but it does make a difference. Really disappointed as we love the location of this pub and have never had a problem before
