WE stayed here beginning of December. We loved it so much! Beautiful room, four poster bed, lovely bath and gorgeous views. Really great coffee machine in the room too. Had the loveliest time and we are going back in January as we liked it so much!

Booked a table for 16 people for Christmas lunch. Food really good & reasonably priced, staff were excellent and the service was first class. Beautifully decorated room with lovely ambiance. Everyone agreed it was a great experience.

We had a superior double. Good size room. Good value. Just slightly shabby but clean and well presented. A trailing TV power cable not in the trunking that was there is a bit naff. The metal framed bed was a bit creaky. We also had dinner and it was well received.

Stayed for one night while dropping daughter off at University. We'd previously passed the Norfolk Arms on the way to the Peak District and liked the look of it. Spacious doubleroom with great view of the countryside, comfortable bed and effective shower. 5 real ales on tap in the bar - pity I couldn't try all of them. Lovely veggie breakfast in the morning. Great value and friendly staff.

Great spot gor lunch after a walk in the Peaks. Good selection of beers. Light lunches for both my daughter (vegetarian) and myself thoroughly enjoyed. Not bad value either.

Stopped here for some supper when visiting relatives in the area. The Inn was very busy - but we managed to find a table. Ordering the food is done at the bar. There's a good choice of food on the menu - and the portions all looked good sizes when they came out. The staff were all very friendly and efficient, despite it being quite busy. There was a good selection of local ales on offer - along with a good array of alcohol free options. All 3 of us ordered the Steak and Ale pie - with a side order or beer battered onion rings. The food came, piping hot and looked totally delicious. It's the best pie we've had in a long time- decent pastry and a nice flavoursome filling. We were so stuffed - we couldn't fit in desserts. Being right on the doorway to the peaks - there was plenty of cars in the carpark (we had to park off road opposite), just take care - as the local cyclists probably come down the hill quicker than some of the cars! Highly recommend, and we'd look at staying at the hotel also on a future visit.

On this occasion just called in for a drink although we have stayed there in the past. Superb choice of excellent ales including a choice of non-alcoholic beers, which was great for me as I was driving. Food and service always good.

We stayed for 8 nights and it was great. We had a kind welcome on arrival from the owner and every single member of staff we spoke to was lovely. Comfortable beds, and we were able to control the heating in the room. The shower was lovely and hot. We felt really at home. The food is great too, and a reasonable price. Also you can go for some nice walks in the countryside from there.

Lovely Sunday Roast after a walk with friends on Stanage Edge. Very busy but happy to squeeze us in with no booking. Meal was top class, service was lovely, couldn't fault it. Would definitely recommend x

We've stayed in a fair number of establishments around Sheffield over the last 10 years and without a doubt this has to be the best. From main stream hotels to Airbnb the Norfolk Arms stands out with service, food and of course liquid refreshments. Perhaps there are a couple of things I'd change about the rooms but these little things are far out weighed by everything else. A small example of how good they are would be breakfast, I have to admit being a little awkward, my wife wanted yogurt and fruit - once they new exactly what she wanted it was provided, superb because as any gent reading this will know, we must make sure our partners are completely happy. Norfolk Arms thank you
