Had my van booked and not till 2 hours later they rang and told me they couldn’t mot it very unprofessional. Would not use again

Looking at previous comments looks like I’m not the only one he tried to rip off. Failed MOT and gave a list of things that need to be changed. Obviously took the car elsewhere, “miraculously” it healed and passed the MOT. Also he used the toilet left the door open and didn’t even wash his hands before touching everything in the car, absolute filth.
Very polite staff, our car failed its mot and he managed to book us in, get the repairs done and the car passed. No complaints!
I previously used this garage to get my car MOT’d and thought they were really friendly (although made a couple of weird comments to me) and when I recently got a new car and had problems, I decided to take it back again. They told me I needed a new head gasket and it would cost £1.5k, told me where to source the parts and they would do the labour. Followed this up by saying I needed new brake discs as well. I decided to get a second opinion as my car wasn’t worth spending that money on it & two mechanics told me it was the oil cooler - a much cheaper job & no issue with the brake discs! I’m a woman in my twenties & I think they just tried to get as much money as they could out of me! Very glad I got a second opinion and won’t be visiting again.
Fantastic help from the mechanic who knows his stuff and offered and ordered the battery for me. Would highly recommend this company

Total rip off garage. Told car was scrap, not worth mending, only to find out they had got the car back on the road few months later. Another car taken there with fault, to be told it needed a new engine. took it elsewhere only a new part was fitted.
Took vehicle in for service as used before and had no problems. Asked for them To use genuine be parts. Went to collect and asked to see receipt for parts and was refused, then had the receipt waved in front of me. The engineer then said I could wait till the next day to Collect the car. Once the police were called they changed their attitude. I am hoping the work is ok but their customer service skills are horrendous and the way they speak about lady customers was horrific. I would recommend avoiding
