“Second very good visit here, first was my last MOT, after a previous garage attempted to way overcharge for unnecessary work. Very well presented, clean tidy reception, listen and polite/ friendly, helpful, useful advice and very efficient. This time Warning lights came on night before I popped in, very busy time for me work and home next few days when I really need my car. Very polite, helpful young man got me booked in the following morning, then next day again very polite, efficient, kept me well informed/ offered choices and all done by lunchtime, brake pads, disks and 2 tyres... Work and invoice all walked through at collection too - brilliant. My daughter and sister also now come here.”

“My car went in for it's MOT on Friday with a couple of issues including a coolant leak which made a bit of a mess on the forecourt. The team at Halfords were incredible. I left the car with them and throughout the day received numerous phonecalls updating me on why my car failed the MOT and what was needed to be don't to make it pass. They then spent time trying to fix issues before sourcing replacement parts to resolve the situation, all the time phoning me to update. The team even waited for me to collect as I had been stuck in traffic and got back to the garage just after closing time. The result, the car passed and one very happy motorist. I havent received service this good from anywhere for a long time. I never write reviews but they deserve one. Outstanding! Thankyou!”

“My car had engine trouble and I needed it sorted urgently as I was due to be driving to Scotland two days later. I called into GMS motors on Saturday afternoon on the off chance that someone might be there , as I was panicking about the car engine light staying on and my car had lost its power. I had used GMS before when they passed my old campervan MOT. Luke appeared and the garage was actually closed. He saw I was upset and reassured me by running a check on the fault checking system. He found the fault was a clogged diesel filter. He said to come back on the Monday morning the next day , just before I was due to drive to Scotland. After a couple of attempts he managed to resolve the problem with his machine and it regenerated and unblocked the filter. Took about half an hour. He was very busy , but he kept his promise and took the time out to sort my car out. It now drives like a racing car with so much more power. A knowledgeable mechanic who went the extra mile to help when I was desperate. Definitely recommend Luke”
