   Don’t even know where to begin. Dropped my car off for an MOT to be told it failed understandably as I thought it would need some things doing. I got quoted over £1000 to fix the issues including brake discs that apparently were warped (these was fitted by the RAC 6 weeks ago and was actually to my surprise not warped when I got them re-looked at) it was actually my calliper which they didn’t even mention which was £200 cheaper to fix than what they quoted for the brake discs. tyre pressure monitor systems were quoted £100 PER tyre….ford sell the full pack for £144 so they was going to be changing £256 just to fit them which is extortionate. what I’m trying to say is the prices are extortionate, things they say that need doing get a 2nd opinion and definitely get a quote from a different garage as you could save £100’s. Would advise friends and family to avoid at all costs.

   Not really sure where to start with this, if I could rate 0 stars, I would. Dropped my car off for MOT Wednesday 24th September, to be told that it had failed on a number of things, which I did expect as its a 10 year old car. (Please note one failing was a previous repair made by Halfords the previous MOT year…) The guy behind the desk couldn’t work the computer and couldn’t give me a full quote but estimated that it would cost £500 at the most to repair everything, to which I agreed. I brought back my car on Thursday 25th, dropped my keys off and asked the girl behind the front desk to call me before doing any work to advise on the actual cost rather than an estimate. She called me a few hours later and told me the cost would actually be £1,039 rather than the £500 estimate. I told her that was double than what I’d been originally quoted and I couldn’t afford to pay that, she advised they had payment plans and I almost agreed but I thought I’d get a quote elsewhere before going ahead. I made 1 phone call to an independent, local garage and he agreed todo all the work for £570, including a new MOT. Still expensive but almost half of what was quoted at Halfords. I understand that different companies use different suppliers etc but I almost lost out on £469, in the middle a cost of living crisis, that’s a drastic difference and totally unbelievable. I will never, ever use Halfords again and I’ll make sure that I advise against any family or friend using them too.

   Took my car to Halfords as it was making an odd noise as though a playing card was catching on the wheel spokes of a bicycle. Asked them to check as it sounded like it was coming from the front off side wheel. On inspection Halfords decided that I needed Pads and Brake discs on all 4 corners for a cost c. £1200. I decided to take my car to IVC Leeds to get a second opinion as this seemed fishy on an Audi A6 that had just turned 3 years old with 35k miles on the clock. IVC Leeds explained that no where did I need brake pads or discs and the noise was coming from a dislodged heat shield that was catching on my prop shaft. Total cost to fix was £51+vat. I would suggest not using this place as clearly they are just out to make money rather than severing you with integrity and honesty.

   impressions, mixed. the car inserted at the agreed hour, goes to the position an hour later, not much of that comes back completely greased on the bright upholstery. complete disregard for other people's property. although the cost of the service is very cheap

   Avoid.8h keep my car there for oil change. I pay top price for that 130 £ and treat me like rubbish. This teams from there is to lazy and have poor management of work, is last time when i use this service.

   Avoid. Booked in for MOT and was told I had issues with my brakes. They kept my car two days due to not having parts. I turned up to collect the car and drove away to find the brake warning light was on and a new issue had been created with my wheels and steering being really stiff. I then had to drive all the way back and wait over 40 minutes for these issues to be corrected. When they were finished I was just told “sorry” and sent on my way having paid £400 to rectify the faults in the first place. Never again.

   Avoid! Wish I had read the reviews before I wasted time bringing my car here. Booked in for 10am for wheel balancing and alignment. Arrived as requested at 9.50. Still not even started 2 hours later, telling us that was just drop off time. This was never explained. Poor customer service!
