   We got our car fixed elsewhere for less than it cost for German auto care to wrongly diagnose it! Unbelievable. My dad had a problem with his car and was recommended here. They said it needed £3000 worth of work for 2 new headlights. And charged us an eye watering £216 for the diagnosis. Turns out it doesn’t need headlights! It needed 2 modules, 1 for each headlight. Cost us £210 for the parts and labour somewhere else. Feel like they had our pants down and we wish we never took it to them in the first place. Imagine if we agreed to pay the £3000 for new headlights and it didn’t solve the issue! Rob dogs.

   Very Disappointed – Poor Quality Service and No Customer Support I’m very disappointed with my experience at German Autocentre Wakefield. The quality of service was well below expectations, and there was no meaningful customer service to address the issues that followed. After leaving my vehicle with them, the work done was substandard and did not resolve the original problem. When I tried to contact the garage to discuss this, I received no clear communication, updates, or willingness to help. It’s frustrating to pay for a service and then be ignored when you raise valid concerns. I expected a professional level of care and expertise, especially from a specialist centre, but unfortunately, this experience has completely put me off returning. I would advise others to be cautious and ensure they get clear communication and transparency before agreeing to any work.

   Booked my BMW x2 in for service and M O T here and they did a great job they were very honest ringing me up when the car was ready and saying it was just the brake fluid what needed changing. The car was good for another 8000 mile before any oil change so this was a very honest service will definitely use again all the staff friendly and polite

   Work carried out on my vehicle, which included the oil cooler, water pump, and rocker gasket cover replacement. While the major work was completed, I observed a number of issues that fall short of the standards I expect, especially given the premium pricing: • Cable duct was left damaged. • Fan plastic damaged. • ECU was badly scratched. • Multiple small clips around the water pump were left loose. • Undertray was refitted with loose screws. • Old oil from the rocker gasket leak was not cleaned — I had to specifically request this. • Battery cover was left open. • Loan car was provided but was extremely dirty inside. Given the significant investment made for the parts and labor, I would have expected the workmanship to be at least 9/10. Attention to these seemingly small details matters greatly in building trust and confidence that the car will remain reliable after the repair. Additionally, the garage was presented as an AMG specialist, but based on my experience and observation, it operates more like a standard service garage. I believe greater transparency about this would be fair to customers. When you consider all these small lapses together, it naturally raises concerns about the overall quality and longevity of the repairs carried out. AMG specialists… mhhhy .

   After having a few issues with my vehicle, I found the company to be very helpful. I mainly dealt with James. He went above and beyond to help my situation and also kept me updated at all times. He was very helpful. They managed to solve my issues, and I had my car back up and running again very swiftly and and all is in good working order. I will definitely use again in the future

   Excellent service at a competitive price! First time I’ve used German Autocare at Wakefield and found them very efficient. The work on my car involved changing both front brake pipes, a gear box service and air conditioning recharge. This garage is larger than you first imagine, plenty of parking behind a secure boundary and strong gates should your vehicle need to be there overnight. There looks to be a reverse parking policy which straight away indicate good safety and vehicle care. The office area is clean and the guys are friendly, no fuss just get on with a professional job. My car was in for around 5hrs then ready for collection. There was no mess inside the car and after driving it, the brakes feel sharper, feels slightly smoother running and the air conditioning works a treat (should have done that part done in the summer). Would recommend checking out German Autocare if you’re looking for a competitive quote on your German car.

   So hesitant at using garages, as the main dealership left us with a sour taste, however our faith has been restored thanks to James and the team at German autocare. Rang for a quote on Tuesday for gearbox oil change, was so impressed with the price asked for a price on the timing belt and water pump change. By Thursday evening it was all completed, with no nasty surprises. Plus James was so helpful with advice on other matters too. Would definitely recommend this company, especially having someone at the front of shop like James, someone knowledgeable about cars. A true asset.
