   My partner has been using this garage for around 6 months due to it being closer to home. In those 6 months the car has needed alot of "repairs" costing around a £1000. Last week it went in for an mot failed and then back in for repairs. When my partner picked it up after being repaired and RETESTED, the steering was completely off centre along with an ESP light. It went back into the garage for a whole day and then she was told to take it back again Friday 12th as there would be an electrician in and that there would be NO CHARGE. Upon collecting the car she had been charged over £100 for a call out fee and for them to have plugged in a machine not even bothering to attempt to wipe the codes. They told her the ABS pump needs repairing and its not something they have caused during its last repair which we had suspicions over, the car has since been to two different garages today and they both believe the damage has been caused whilst cross lane repaired the CVboot which of course cross lane are denying also no mention of any pump at either garages. The car will be inspected at the end of the week to ensure all work that has been carried out by cross lane has been necessary along with any evidence that the damage has been caused whilst the cvboot was being repaired at cross lane then it will be reported to trading standards along with a possible small claims court. There's no communication if you want to know about your car you have to call them. Plenty more TRUST WORTHY garages avoid this place unless you want to be robbed and potentially damaging your car they take no responsibility for the mistakes they make as other reviews say.

   I got recommended this garage by a friend after I needed a new clutch and everyone I rang either didn’t call me back, quoted an extortion price or couldn’t fit me in for 2 weeks. Cross Lane Garage were fairly priced, fitted me in quick and were very friendly. Couldn’t recommend them enough, very happy with the service! Thanks Dale & team!

   I had my brake pads replaced by cross lane garage in August, and less than 10,000 miles later, they failed catastrophically while I was driving last Friday, putting me and others on the road in serious danger. I immediately took the car back to the garage that same Friday, expecting the issue to be resolved under warranty, as they had initially assured me. At first, they agreed, but by Monday, after completing the work, they falsely claimed that the damage was my fault, accusing me of “driving around with the caliper,” which was an outright lie. To make matters worse, they charged me nearly £400 to fix their own poor-quality work. This entire experience has been infuriating. Their refusal to take responsibility for their mistakes and their dishonesty in blaming me for something I didn’t do is unacceptable. I cannot recommend this garage to anyone. If you value your safety, your time, and your money, avoid them at all costs.

   Called to book MOT expecting an appointment in the next week or so. Instead I was able to take my car in 3 days later. Dropped it off at 11am, expecting it to be ready that evening. Instead I picked it up a couple of hours later. Could have collected it sooner but was out with the dog. Nothing extra to pay. Passed no problems. Service great as always. Highly recommended. Will use again .

   Absolutely great garage, just moved to Wakefield and didn't know where to go. Went here because of the reviews and definitely happy. They're very welcoming, kept me informed and explained everything. The price was very reasonable and they also gave me back my car looking shinier and cleaner than its ever been!
