Very comfortable room, although the double glazing wasn’t perfect as we could hear the jets engines quite clearly. We ate in the bar area which was pleasant and the food good. The courtesy busy to terminal 2 (quite a distance away and too far to walk) were having a shift change over at 05:40 and were not available to for 40 minutes so we needed to get an Uber to make our check in time. Coming back we had no wait at all and the driver dropped us right by our waiting car (we had booked a stay and parking).

My 23 year old daughter stayed at the Manchester Airport hotel on Saturday night. I thought they would look after her. She had three heavy bags with her as she was leaving to be away for 6 months and would fly to Geneva the following morning. She asked for some help with her heavy bags when she checked in and the manager who checked her in refused to help her. Without any assistance or trolley she she had to struggle with her heavy bags to her room. I rang the hotel (I’m her father) and asked them if they could help her with her bags the following morning. They said they would but didn’t. We have stayed at the Clayton several times before. This hotel has become a shoddy establishment that don’t care about their clientele anymore and the fact that my daughter has had to deal with such poor service makes me sick. Very poor, staff don’t care, incompetent manager. Not recommended!!!! Try somewhere else, there are plenty other hotels at the airport that must be better.

It's close to the airport but the walk is horrible (especially with luggage and in freezing weather). It's windy and missing walking areas in several parts. It's also muddy in some spots. So, you'll want to use the hotel shuttle. However, you will wait for that shuttle for God knows how long - unless you're an airline employee, in which case you will be prioritized while those waiting to catch flights stress about the time. Good luck flushing your room toilet because it won't flush. It mostly just sighs and adds a bit of fresh water. Also good luck using the sink because after 3-4 seconds, it will overflow due to being extremely blocked. The shower is great, however - not plugged and has good pressure. The beds are also fabulous - super comfortable. Don't accept a room on the ground floor unless you don't want to sleep. It could be a great hotel, but when basic amenities are lacking, it's not. Overpriced.

This was a place to stay so that we didn't have difficulties getting to the airport in the morning. Although it was ideally located, there were really regular shuttle buses, and the hotel was lovely, I found the £30 per night parking some what extortionate. It's in keeping with the other prices around though I suspect. Disabled access good Services friendly staff, a glass lift on the outside of the building which was fairly awesome.

The perfect airport hotel. A complementary shuttle bus is available from the airport, which arrived to pick me up just outside the terminal. From my arrival in reception I was greeted by very attentive and friendly staff - the place has a feeling of being orderly and efficient yet still maintaining that relaxed atmosphere. My room had a comfortable bed, super soft sheets and was quiet - I couldn’t hear any noise from the airport. The selection and quality of the buffet breakfast was brilliant. Everything you could want prepared and displayed to an high standard. Mike and John were going over and above to ensure all guests had a great experience. Overall I was impressed with my stay, and glad I chose this hotel after a very long flight.

We thought the overnight rate for the hotel rate was value for money. However, in my opinion, there is an element of exploitation about UK airport's which all businesses on the site participate in. For instance our taxi driver advised that the hotel charged a £10 fee for access to the hotel reception drop off which obviously we would, not unreasonably, be charged for, £10 to deliver paying customers? Drinks and dining at the hotel was also quite expensive, a couple of drinks and dinner in the bar costing as much as the room and the quality of meals served was not great. The discounted £14 per head buffet breakfast was good, plenty of choice in a relaxed atmosphere which got us off to a good start.

We went to the Manchester airport Clayton Hotel to meet international guests who stayed at the hotel overnight before returning home... as a family of 5 we were welcomed and served as equal to all the guests and all our requirements were catered for with politeness and willingness. The restaurant area was clean and airy with lovely toilets... would definitely recommend!... food prices are on the High end but portion sizes are generous!

Arrived at 6pm Christmas Day. We were greeted by a friendly staff member. Although we hadn't booked a table we were able to sit down and eat in the restaurant. We ate pizza. I would definitely order it again. The pizza was freshly made and very tasty. The rooms are large with a comfortable bed. The sound from the extremely close airplanes can only just be heard in the room. Parking in the hotel carpark while we are away is extremely convenient too. The hotel was easy to find and park.

We stayed park and ride. It's the nearest hotel to to 'park and go' so just a short walk after dropping your bags at the hotel for a quick stop over. The 4.45am shuttle was included to our terminal 3. Lovely welcome. Very nice room, clean and spacious. Large screen TV. Tea, coffee (including decaf coffee) and biscuits. We didn't get to taste any food here due to time scales but everything looked impeccable. Recommended.

Perfect place to stay when flying from Manchester. We stayed the night before we flew to America. We had a beautiful room and a fantastic meal. A great nights sleep before jumping on the hotel’s shuttle bus which takes you to terminal 2 in under 5 minutes. The drivers are excellent especially Karl who collected us on the day we arrived back. A really nice bloke who could not do enough for us. It was the perfect way to finish our holiday. The car was returned to the hotel the day before so we popped into reception to collect our keys and we were on the way home in no time. We would highly recommend the Clayton in Manchester to anyone who wants a safe relaxing place to stay prior to your holiday who very importantly look after your car safety while you enjoy yourself. Five Stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
