The hotel, facilities, food etc are all great but the staff make this place five star. I used to come regularly for work years ago and I came back for the first time this week only to be greeted by Claudia at breakfast who used to look after me so well all those years ago, it was a wonderful suprise. Other staff I'd not met before but all were very friendly and helpful. Thank you.

A decent Marriott Hotel, which has had good investment over the years. Well presented with nice external / outsourced dining of a good standard. Well worth a stop if using the airport to go on Holiday. Good for when you need to entertain at a restaurant. Would not hesitate to recommend, good chain of hotels with decent standards at all times.

I'm extremely disappointed with this hotel. I'd specifically booked it as it had a swimming pool only to be told upon arrival that it was 'out of order' and not available for use. The hotel should have contacted guests to advise of this as a minimum. The front of house staff were extremely poor too, I was service by a young gentleman who looked as if he'd rather die that be doing his job, he was unhelpful and provided incorrect directions to my room which was 0-300, tucked away in the basement... Not a nice room. The shower had almost zero water pressure, so it took ages to have a shower. The room fridge wasn't functioning either... On top of that, parking was next to impossible and costs £16 per night for 'guests'. All in, I am extremely disappointed with this hotel, I'd expected a far better service with far better quality rooms. If you value service, comfort and above all honesty, then don't stay here. Very poor indeed.

Very nice. Good breakfast. Some may argue pricey at £17 but the quality is excellent. For example, the bacon was thickly sliced and perfectly cooked with very little fat. Someone has made an effort to find good sources. Plenty of options if you want vegan, cereals or fruit. They even have 'proper' Yorkshire tea bags!! Now we're talking!!

One of the worst hotel experiences in the Manchester airport area. Front of house/ reception Unprofessional, unwelcoming, uninterested, lack of knowledge, unhelpful. Supervisor front of house I tried to explain an issue to the morning reception supervisor, it was speaking to a tree. He was gormless, dim and entirely vacant of any sympathy. Shuttle bus £4.50 each each. Free for airport staff. Stops at all terminals and train station, no info anywhere on website or socials about timings. Reception do not answer the phones to help. I have attached picture of timetable. Bar Nice staff, good choice of drinks. I had food poisoning from burger which was reported. Didn’t eat in restaurants after that. Pool / spa As it’s also open to public, it’s awful despite being a lovely facility. Noisy, damp, smelly changing rooms. Nice size pool, jacuzzi, cold water plunge, sauna and steam room. Overall, better hotels in the area offer far better overall service.

Stopped on the way on holiday and the room, restaurant and service was all good. Booked a last minute night returning due to a very delayed flight, and again got a good rate and good service. The cherry on the top was a surprise bottle of wine to celebrate our honeymoon. Not expected at all and such a lovely gesture. ☺️

Very good value. All the staff were lovely and also jolly. The breakfast is great. The pool could do with re-decorating but is still very, very nice. Room quiet, excellent black out curtains, great night’s sleep.

In terms of the rooms, we had absolutely no issues. We got a free upgrade to a family room, which was lovely, and everything about the room was amazing from start to finish. We also found our service to be impeccable! Staff were always happy to oblige us, from silly questions to genuine help getting around Manchester, they were fantastic Our one issue would be the location - it serves it's purpose of being close to the airport, but it isn't close to much else. Our easiest transit lines were either a shuttle to the airport, then a train from there, or taxi services. Otherwise, a fantastic place to stay!

I thought it was a great hotel up until this week. I left my earphones at this hotel during a stay and consequently called them to see if they had found. They had; so I requested that they be shipped to me. They informed me that I would have to pay for shipping, which I was happy for. Since then, I was told, I will be getting an email with "how to pay for the shipping?". I never received it. I called back a few times and now the housekeeping/loss prevention staff refuses to answer the phone or call back to my voicemail that I left. I mean if you want to keep the earphones, just say that you haven't found them. Lost credibility in my view. Never again! Definitely an integrity issue and lack of ownership.

We went for a spa day and was unimpressed. The pool and saunas are OK but the whole place could do with a serious lick of paint. The staff are very friendly and courteous. We both had a massage which was OK. We have had better and a lot worse. The therapist was very nice and very quiet. Parking isn't a problem just don't forget to log it in to the machine at the reception. And it's free.
