It's a Travelodge on the M6 so it's never going to be 5 star. The location is good, but if you have the window open there's a lot of traffic noise. The bed was rock hard and the carpet was pretty stained in places, otherwise the room was ok. 1 star deducted because no hot water until the next day. Staff are friendly and it's dog friendly.

Repeat stays here and always as good as you expect a travelodge to be. Modern and refurbished. Very comfy beds. Tea and coffee. Boiling hot water for bath/shower. Located at M6 services for fast food options. Brill value for money when on under £35 deals.

I visited this hotel last month with my friend. I am a wheelchair user and booked an accessible room. While these rooms do meet regulatory standards, they meet it to the bare minimum and I found it difficult to navigate the room independently, especially the lip between the bathroom door and the room. If you are also in a wheelchair, I recommend attending with someone else as I would not have been able to navigate the room on my own. On arrival, it emerged that this hotel did not have wetroom facilities so I spoke to a member of staff upon check-in who was initially very friendly and tried to swap our room to a nearby hotel with a wetroom, but we were informed that Travelodge would charge a £55 surcharge to do so, which of course is unaffordable just to have one wash. My friend and I were staying at the hotel to visit the nearby Manchester Airport Runway Visitor Park as we are both keen on aviation. The member of staff at the hotel shared this interest and spoke to us about it. They added my friend and I on social media to share some images of aircraft he had taken. The next day they contacted us to meet us up at the nearby Airport Pub which, although slightly hesitant, we did meet up. All went well until we arrived home and my friend received a series of inappropriate romantic advances by direct message. My friend blocked this staff member and we contacted Travelodge to let them know. Sadly, our complaint seemed not to be completely resolved as they refused to reveal any details about the organisational changes brought about by the complaint (of course we understand they cannot reveal anything personal about the employee), they failed to name the behaviour as inappropriate in their reply and skimmed over the topic, focusing only on the accessibility aspect of our complaint. If you are a female attending this hotel, especially alone, beware of who you talk to and take precautions to preserve your safety.

I can't speak to the location, as I ended up here accidentally because I was lost. The rooms are little rough around the edges, as all budget inns, motels, etc will be. That's just the way budget spots are. It's like they were created strictly for the purpose of being a place you pick last minute when you're exhausted. Everything was clean, the bedding was stain free, the mattress firm, towels blindingly white and the carpet had clearly been cleaned recently. The service was absolutely excellent. I was kind of a fried mess when I came in and the clerk on the evening of the 17th was very sweet and kind. In fact, I was so pleased with the service that I chose to stay a second night and just take a day to relax. The morning staff was also warm and kind. Honestly? I would say it's a good budget option for me. I am pleased with the service and everything.

The location is amazing especially if your on a long haul trip down south. The hotel is dog friendly and there is a lift if your dog can’t go up and down stairs. The bed in room 307 was very comfortable. The view of the motorway was amazing and there are lots of food places to buy breakfast or dinner. The staff on arrival were very friendly and welcoming. Had my sunflower lanyard on and the staff were able to assist me with all my needs. The car parking is very safe and there is a lot of security cameras in the area of the hotel. I really recommend this hotel if you’re doing over a 10 hour journey. Dropping the hotel key off after the visit was easy as they have a key drop box. The bathroom in the hotel room was very clean and the shower is very powerful and pleasant. The only thing I would do is bring your own hair gel and body wash as the one on the wall did smell a bit bad. Other than that the stay was perfect.

A noisy place to sleep especially if you are on the petrol station side. All I heard all night were lorries, lorries and more lorries! I would not stay here again. Left feeling very drained and tired due to noise.

Good location, easy to find. Free parking, just need to register your car plate at reception. Friendly staffs & room is comfortable.

When driving a long distance in appalling weather, one can often handle the weather until darkness falls, - when it is another matter. and gets nasty. Thus I was grateful to find I could stop overnight in Knutsford, before travelling further north, even a relatively short distance. I am now making sure my Southport friends know about this happy solution in such a situation. Incidentally, can you tell the good Knutsford staff that I went off with the key for room 110 and send grovelling apologies and will send it first class tomorrow It is 2.00am and just discovered it and it is too late to ring!

A convenient work stop over for me. Always clean and comfortable and friendly, helpful staff. A functional place to stay but a good one

There's no lift, so it's not buggy friendly, but the rooms are big, good sized beds and no noise whatsoever. We stayed in the heatwave and it wasn't too hot either, which we were shocked about! Easy check in and out - would stay again if I was in the location.
