Any review you read which states the staff at the Aldo Uxbridge branch are “nice” or “friendly” or any word that relates to both of those are lies. This wasn’t my own experience, but someone very close to me, and the staff were nothing but incredibly unprofessional, rude and really disgusting. I’ve barely had any customer service experience, but I’m pretty sure on your worst days, and most definitely your best, you’re supposed to be a helping hand to the customer and you’re meant to make the customer feel welcome in your store, giving a sense of warmth and comfort to the customer. This was not at all what the staff were, they were the exact opposite. Please don’t take the following as discrimination, but I’m just describing the appearance of the staff at this branch. The manager is white and has an accent, I think he’s European. There were two ladies who were customer assistants and one of them wears a hijab who also has an accent. I can’t remember the other one, but beware of these staff. You’re most definitely going to have a horrible experience with people who have this behaviour, and I can’t even imagine what they’re like in their personal lives. But it’s just sad man. No need to be like that. Really unprofessional.

I went in to exchange the boots that I bought online from Aldo. They were not true to size, very very tight that I couldn’t get my feet in even though I have very slim feet. I took my receipt with me. I bought the boots for £57 I was told the price has gone down to £35. I said my receipt is still valid so I should be allowed to exchange for the price I paid. I was told their store works differently than the online shopping. Online I would only get £42 now but in store it’s only £35. To return online you got to register through the return centre and pay their fees. I decided it’s too much hassle and I would exchange in store. I exchanged and bought full priced shoes at £75( paid the difference of £40). I asked for my receipt and was told you can’t get a receipt as you exchanged I was like but what if something is wrong with shoes/ faulty/ not comfy then what am I meant to do. She told me if I give you the receipt business would lose money. Excuse what about the money that I just lost, surely this is against our customer rights. Well I’m glad to stay I will not be shopping at Aldo again. I have always bought shoes from them but after my last experience I would go to other brands that provide good customer service.
