I’m very disappointed with the service. I came in because my car started vibrating only after a tyre change done by your mobile van. Before that, there were absolutely no issues at all. Instead of actually helping, the guy at the workshop completely brushed me off. He was unhelpful, dismissive and clearly not interested in resolving the problem. He insisted that if a car vibrates above 60 mph, it “definitely cannot be wheel balancing” and tried to convince me that the issue must be my alloys or something else with the car — which makes no sense, considering the problem appeared after your service. What makes it worse: there were no other cars in the workshop at the time, yet he still refused to recheck or rebalance the wheels properly. This felt like avoiding responsibility rather than providing customer service. I expected a professional approach, but instead I was left with excuses and zero help.

Absolutely fantastic service once again from National Tyres & Autocare in Chesterfield (Old Whittington). I’ve been using them for the last 3 years for my MOT, after signing up with Halfords Motoring Club. This is a must if you are ‘clueless’ about cars, or are on your own, no-one to rely on to help you out. The Halfords Motoring Club does it all, and even includes a ‘free’ MOT in the price! There are so many other benefits too, please take the time to look it up. That said this review was about National Tyres & Autocare at Old Whittington, Chesterfield. I have never known or encountered such a trustworthy team. I am 54yrs old, and also worked as a ‘Book Keeper’ in the second hand car industry for 7.5yrs. So, you do see a lot. I have frequented National Tyres & Autocare at Old Whittington, Chesterfield, since 2022. My MOT’s have flown through. Tbf, as you would expect from a 67 plate only doing max of 3000 miles per year. However, this year was different, I got advisories on my last MOT. So knowing I had only done 750 miles this year due to ill health. I decided I was going to get the advisories sorted and then my car MOT’d. Which I did. As I booked online, I’d already got my quote. Which included my free MOT, and 5% discount on products you need to purchase. When I booked my car in personally, I did what most people would say is the ‘fateful’ mistake. I ended up telling them ‘Could you just test my brakes, because I am sure when I am pressing them I can hear a noise, like a metal to metal noise?’ Absolutely, they said. No problem. So, yes, I got home and realised I’d given them a free pass to say to me ‘Yes - you was right, your brakes were rubbing (or whatever they would come up with), so we need to replace them. I would have been none the wiser at this point! However, that is what not happened at all! I got a phone call to say my car was ready, all repairs done, MOT sorted, and in reference to my query about the brakes, absolutely no issue. I.e. very low mileage, still very safe, no concerns, etc, explained it all to me. Now this is what I mean, about ‘trust’. And that is why, I wholeheartedly recommend National Tyres & Autocare.

Had 2 tyres fitted on my car and 4 on my wife’s within a week of each other. Fabulous friendly service and great prices. Later called in for tracking and was given a quote. Whilst waiting I was shown the readings and informed it was unnecessary and no payment required. Again, excellent service and creates a great customer experience and an incredibly likely loyal customer too. Thank you guys, especially the newer employee who recently joined from the RAF. Top job.

Phoned on Sat for a specific tyre, not in stock. I wasn't at all surprised by this as this tyre is very specific. James was very helpful on the phone and ordered me 1 in for 11AM today (Monday). Fitting was very quick and professional, it was even pointed out to me that I needed a new locking wheel nut socket as mine was cracked in 3 places. On top of all this; the price was £32 less than a competitor and a whopping £133 less than a major High St Autostore and garage! 10 out of 10 and thanks very much.

@nationaltyres chesterfield, dreadful customer service. Ordered tyres , booked in for fitting 4 days later. No tyres to fit, no phone call to rearrange so wasted journey. Now can’t fit until next week. Refund can only be issued by customer services next week, no refund or tyres.
