Horrid experience. Booked my 95yr old aunt in for cut and blow dry. Usual hair dresser unwell. No cape put on her. Hair all over her and the wheel chair when she got home. Had to change all her clothing. Worse was the cut was horrific, even at 95 her hair always looked nice even if washed and brushed. Not after this cut. Won’t be attending here again.

Fantastic staff so helpful. There's no Jackie anymore she's left, had a new your man called Henry (hope I've spelt it right) a real young gentleman excellent manners, definitely use him again, took his time as well, which is nice to see

I have had some very bad experiences over my years in hairdressers. Been going to Utopia for years now, they are just the best. Great at hair, eyes brow, eye lashes etc. I completely relax the whole time while I'm there and leave feeling fabulous. Thank you ladies, you are wonderful. Would highly recommend, I personally would never go anywhere else.

Sadly my review is not a positive one. I tried hard to get through for almost 3 weeks to get an appointment. I have naturally spiral curly hair due to my mixed heritage. I turned up for a skin test and consultation as planned. The weather was awful and I went into the salon with very wet and curly hair. I was looked up and down by a lady who asked me if I had an appointment. When I explained that i did I was not taken into the salon but left in the reception area. She then came out mixing a dye in a bowl and put a tested behind my ear before even asking me what it was I would be having done. She then lifted my hair up and told me my hair was in bad condition. I explained that my curls are due to my mother having afro hair and she told me it was due to damage. I know my own hair. My hair has been like this since I was a child. I can't help having curly hair. (I have not had my hair dyed or straightened for a couple of years. No breakage when I comb and soft curls that do have a mind of their own ) She then said she needed to speak to her manager. She then came out and infront of two other customers (one who could see I was uncomfortable and spoke to me kindly) and told me they were refusing on liability grounds and would not except my Groupon voucher. She then waited for me to leave. I remained seated and messed with my phone due to being embarrassed in front of everyone. She stood waiting. The manager came out and just walked past me. This is totally unprofessional service. IF a person's hair is damaged you should take them to one side and explain privately. I was not even offered a seat for my consultation in the salon. The way she lifted my hair up and examined it infront of other people was demoralising. The lady then continued to stand in front of me waiting for me to leave. I left the shop and contacted Groupon. Groupon acted quickly. Issuing a full refund. Groupon were also not happy that one of the buisnesses they work with have treated someone like this. I then drove to a lovely hairdressers who looked at my hair and said that my hair just needs a cut but is in no way split up to my scalp and in bad condition. Just because someone comes into a posh little salon who's a little alternative and not your "regular" client does not mean they should not be treated the same as any other customer. Maybe you don't know how to treat hair like mine. One thing I would like to point out is that I paid also for an Oplex treatment and cut. Why was this then refused? also the lady did not even offer to remove the dye from behind my ear. I had to wipe it off on the corner of a shopping bag and the colour was very dark almost black...... my hair is light brown with blonde bits. I'm now looking forward to having my hair done by a professional friendly lady who deserves every penny of my money. I'm sure other people's reviews may be positive but my experience was not.

Absolutely nailed it! Leanne was professional, caring and friendly, I had to come in the second time for a toner, she achieved my dream hair. All the girls are so lovely, such an amazing atmosphere, also did my sisters hair, manged to squeeze her last minute. Will definitely be coming again to see Mel ;)

What a great place! Simple as... gave them a phone call gave me an estimation of people waiting and I went there. I saw the ladies working really fast so in zero time it was my turn. The lady cut my hair ( the lovely lady with the glasses) was excellent professional and took care all the details ( hair in ears shape the eyebrows, shape at the ending of the head etc) . Also an other member of the staff was there to keep the place always clean for the next customer . The price reasonable so deffo going back there again ! Thank you girls. See you next time.
