   This practice used to be excellent when it was Fresh Dental whom I was a private patient for several years. However in June 2025 my appointment was suddenly cancelled via a voicemail message briefly explaining that the practice is temporarily closing and they would be in touch. By October 2025 I still have not received an update about what has happened and what the plan is to reschedule appointments. I found out through another dental practice that PortmanDentex had acquired Fresh Dental. It's been very poor how they've handled communicating this whole process to its patients. So much for their level of service, patient happiness and care!

   I had an issue with my broken retainer wire that was causing constant discomfort while eating or speaking. After searching many clinics, Fresh Dental Smile was the first to offer me a fast appointment—without any extra booking fees! Dr. Jenny Kabir was incredibly kind and professional. She fixed my wire perfectly, gave me helpful advice, and even offered a 10% discount. Everyone at the clinic, from the reception to the staff, was warm and welcoming. This was by far the fastest and most pleasant dental experience I've had in York. Thank you so much, Dr. Kabir and team—I’m so happy and grateful for your amazing care!

   I went to Jenny and the team when my daughter was 13 because my daughter’s teeth were very crooked and she was very conscious of them. 18 months later after having fixed braces on both sets of teeth my daughters smile was perfect!! I was so impressed I went back and asked Jenny what she could do to improve my crooked upper and lower teeth (which were also a bit yellow) . Another 18 months later, after fixed upper and lower braces and teeth whitening, I also have a perfect smile!! Jenny and the team are so friendly, professional and efficient and always willing to be flexible with appointments. After so many years of smiling with my mouth closed, I am now showing off my smile makeover at every opportunity!! Can’t recommend highly enough!!

I have been unhappy and conscious about my two front teeth since I was a child as they overlapped the teeth behind and stuck out. Jenny is very knowledgeable.    I was recommended to go here by family for orthodontics (retainers needed replacing) and it was a really good experience. I think it's safe to say that going to the dentist isn't something people usually look forward to, but the people here were lovely! The whole appointment was very quick, done in maybe 5 or 10 minutes, and the new retainers I got a couple weeks later at the follow-up were actually much better quality than what I was used to. They fit perfectly after the final adjustments and I'm sure will last me a good several years!

   I originally found this place using Google Maps, having moved back from London during the pandemic. I’m glad I trusted the excellent reviews – they are completely accurate in my view and I’ve had nothing but great experiences here! Ameena is a super dentist – kind and polite, she takes the time to thoroughly explain concepts and procedures to you as a layman. All the other staff are very friendly too, and the prices are reasonable. It seems to be a very well-run practice overall and I expect to be coming here for many years to come.

   I used fresh dental for a couple of years before moving to Scotland. After ten years of disappointing dentist in Scotland, my wife and I returned to see Jenny at fresh dental, it was like coming back home, the staff are friendly, the premises are pristine and Jenny is the most relaxed friendly dentist/person you could ever wish to meet. She puts you at ease and I have never had any pain when she has worked on my teeth. I still live in Scotland and it is 320 miles to the fresh dental smile clinic, but Jenny is the only dentist I will now visit.
