I always have a really good experience at The Light — it’s reasonably priced, comfortable, and a great place to watch films. I particularly enjoy the mix of new releases and throwback movies. The venue is accessible, via lifts & escalators. The seats are spacious and comfy, though it would be even better if they were powered recliners instead of manual ones. The food and drinks are great too — tasty pizza’s, and I really appreciate that drinks are served in real glasses. One small downside is the entrance layout. Many of the external doors seem unused, and the ones that are in use are out of order. Many customers find the mix of manual & automatic doors confusing as they are not very clearly labelled. The gents toilets could benefit from a more regular cleaning schedule. It would also be beneficial if there were direct access to the cinema from the bus stop at the rear of the building. I appreciate the informative film posters in the corridors and the vintage movie posters are a nice touch — they some real vintage charm to the otherwise modern venue. Overall, a great cinema that I always enjoy visiting!

We had our son's 11th birthday party here recently, and it was a great experience - it's such good value, especially the bowling time, the arcade games and the food is lovely. Aleina in particular was a wonderful host who took really good care of us all. This is the third year in a row we've had birthday parties at the Light, and it never disappoints!

Loved The Light! Comfy, spacious (and reclining!) seats. Can buy cups of tea to take into the cinema. Great selection of films, especially love their cult classic films collection. Good accessibility too, with lifts, escalators, wide passages, and uses the CEA card scheme where carers can get a free essential companion ticket. Also brilliant that if you’re a free member you can get a full refund as credit so long as you cancel 2 hours before - I had to do this the other day because our train was cancelled, and it was a really fast and simple process. Will definitely go back.

Not my closest cinema but I always come here because its so easy, comfortable, clean, friendly, inviting and has a homely atmosphere. There's free parking and It has a great cafe bar and kitchen where you can eat/drink or take stuff in with you. The screens are a nice intimate size and a quality experience. A few places have opened local to me since it opened. I've tried them but I keep coming back here.

Always a great experience! I have a wonderful time every time I visit this cinema. The pepperoni pizza and waffle fries are a must-try! Everyone who served us was so friendly and helpful, and Josh M provided especially fantastic service. Thank you!

Favourite cinema near me, seats are large and comfortable although starting to show their age (and sound it from the springs). Staff are always nice and helpful, previously had an issue with a movie not starting correctly and they fixed the issue quickly and refunded the tickets for inconvenience. Screen size can vary but quality of each screen is always great. I wouldn't write home about the food here however it's not bad for something you can pick up whilst waiting for your movie and bring in with you, however they are usually out of half the options provided.

Great cinema, far better than other competitors. Me and my boyfriend have been a member since 2017. Seats very comfy, staff friendly and their when you need them. Kitchen/bar serve great food and the arcade and bowling and are a great addition to the cinema and red rock. Miss the piano!

Comfy reclining chairs, big armrests and side tables too!! This cinema have got you covered from tango ice blast, to a coffee or beer. You can even get freshly baked pizzas to take into the screens with you too. The staff are friendly, the venue is always clean and they always have an eye catching display for new releases. Tickets are spot on what you’d usually pay at a big-chain cinema & you definitely get a luxury experience!
