   Service was great until it came to being upfront about costs. Gave them a decent budget for a small(ish) kitchen job (adding some new units and changing doors) Staff friendly that measured and designed. Went to depot to look at colours. All fine, loved the design. Got a call with a price 3k over budget. Asked for a breakdown so I could see what I could change. Voicemail left asking if I got it. Emailed and called three times to say I hadn’t (and to confirm my email address) (I don’t believe it was ever sent) Have now been to wrens and getting a completely new kitchen (same quality) with worktops and appliances for 4k less than howdens quoted for half the amount of stuff. It’s not about price, it’s about being upfront. I believe they have just decided what commission they are earning and that they couldn’t send a breakdown as there would have been hidden costs they couldn’t explain.

   I could not recommend Howdens Bootle enough, Terry was with us from survey to planning to delivery, he was first class!! Giving us advice and help from the get go, we could not be any more happy. We had 4 surveys by 4 different companies and none compare to Terry for professionalism.

   I just want to thank all the staff of Howdens Bootle for their excellent customer service and professionalism, especially Daniel. He designed my utility room in the best way I could have ever imagine. All my cleaning products and brushes fit in perfectly and the furniture advised by Daniel are very beautiful. I am very happy with the result. The utility now looks better than the kitchen! This is something I have to sort out very soon :-).
