I’ve had two cuts by Summer now that I’ve been really happy with. She really knows what she’s talking about and has provided really good, realistic advice about the different styles I wanted which I really value. Summer also just has great vibes!! Really friendly, welcoming and hospitable
I had such a lovely experience getting my hair done by Summer. She listened carefully to what I wanted and gave me a cut that really suits my face and feels so light and fresh. I have thick hair but she was patient, gentle, attentive, and made me feel completely comfortable. I walked out feeling confident and so happy with my hair. I had an appointment for my hair colour and haircut with Chad He is great and a real professional. He helped me through everything and made my day fantastic with a beautiful haircut and hairstyle for my birthday I will definitely come back and be a regular customer.
I’m extremely upset about my recent hair appointment. I specifically asked for my roots to be made as light brown as possible, but unfortunately, that didn’t happen. I explained to my hairdresser that I wasn’t satisfied with the result, and she called another stylist, Ekam, for a second opinion. The second hairdresser who came over was extremely rude and patronising. She asked if I was a professional and implied that I didn’t know what I was talking about. I responded that I’m not a professional, but they had gotten hair dye all over my face. I have a big day tomorrow, and now look at what they’ve done — not only am I unhappy with my hair, but they’ve also left me looking ridiculous. This was the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. I’ve been crying since the appointment. They’ve ruined my big day, refused to help, and in so many words, called me an idiot. I feel completely humiliated by how they’ve treated me and by the state they’ve left me in.
A truly unique salon in the heart of city Birmingham. From the minute that you walk into the minute that you leave you’re not on the conveyor belt but you’re actually being seen and heard. My hairstylist was so gentle and considerate of what I wanted. No yanking of the hair no pulling when trying with the brush! Very friendly and informal atmosphere. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this salon. !
I've been going to urban roots for a couple of years now. I was initially very reluctant to change hairdresser but ended up having the best haircut. Wesley is an absolute star and always makes any treatment fun even when I have to spend hours for my long, thick hair! Very professional- would highly recommend
Great stylist, he was very friendly, helpful and attentive, providing ideas for style depending on my wants. He shaped my hair and advised me to choose a very nice, natural color that compliments my face. I am very happy with the end result! Overall, the experience was excellent!
First time at this Salon. I’m always very nervous about my haircuts but Chad was very friendly, helpful and reassured me about what he could do to make my hair flow just right! The curly blow dry was an unexpected and delightful new experience that left my hair beautifully bouncy. Thank you, I’ve had a great cut and enjoyed my experience at the salon. I’ll be back again.
