   Although the staff were friendly and welcoming, saying I’m disappointed is an understatement. I had my hair cut by Michelle and the result was shocking. My hair was left uneven, unbalanced, with no texturing or blending. The cut was not cross-checked, and now I realise why I wasn’t shown the back — there was a noticeable chunk missing. I’ve been left genuinely traumatised. The wash, cut and blow-dry was rushed and completed in just 35 minutes, with two stylists blow-drying my hair at the same time. When I called the salon about it, I was told it would cost £30 to fix and that they would need to use a razor to thin my hair. Absolutely not. I had to go to another salon to correct the damage. I will not be returning. A complete disappointment.

   Over the year's I have struggled with hairdressers as I have thick hair and never leave happy as its never been what I have wanted. I booked into MJ hair studio not feeling optimistic but how wrong was I the staff are friendly and the lady that did my hair knew axactly what she was doing and for the first time in a very long time I now have a fab and manageable hair style , oh and a new hairdresser. I would highly recommend this salon and give it 5*. Thank you MJ hair studio.

   I had a cut and colour on 23/10/22. I had been coming here since the beginning of the year and was very happy until now. The new semi-permanent colour came up much lighter near my roots but darker on the overlap. It's very noticeable under normal household lights and in daylight but I didn't spot it under the salon lights. I have a noticeable stripe, particularly on one side of my head. When I went back they told me it was my fault for using root cover up spray which must have dyed my porous hair and that I should have come back sooner. I have a job, two kids and my partner was ill so I had left it three weeks, because I am so short on time. I also didn't want to make a fuss. Evidently I should have. They suggested I have a permanent colour to cover it up at my next appointment which I would pay for. I am so disappointed.
