“My 14 year old son decided he needed to do something with his hair I didn't understand. "A perm" he said. So he found New ID via a Google search. I took him after he booked an appointment. I am a standard blokey barber shop guy who just has a basic haircut from time to time so walking in felt a little awkward. A brown man with a brown child into a shop full of women staff and women customers, not brown. However, we were greeted with a "hello, take a seat" and it was totally comfortable after that. I left my son with I believe Heather who expertly did the perm, looked after him and he told me she had a chat with him and was really nice, just like everyone else. Good people. Lovely, welcoming, just nice. Good service. Good price. Thank you.”

“Came in for a head shave, beard perm and beard shape up - for those with long beards i highly recommend the perm to clear up any messy stray hairs and to neaten up wavy/straight and sparse hair. The brothers at the shop were very welcoming, offered beverages, really cared about how i wanted my hair done - given english is not the boys’ first language they did very well to understand my broken punjabi/english! When my perm was setting they trusted that I could walk away with their equipment still in my beard and gave a lot of tips on how to look after and treat my beard, and also suggested products for me to use. I noticed a child had got their hair done at the same time as me and saw all the barbers act in a friendly welcoming manner towards them, they tried their utmost best to accomodate for them and provided a great service for them also. In my experience with other punjabi barbers, I’d say this one stands out because they provide a good service to everyone and not just punjabi’s/their regulars which is great to see! The service came at an affordable cost too (i calculated how much a perm would cost and their price came under what was expected). If there were an option to give a higher review i would!”

“A very humble barber shop, neutral radio music, seats available to sit however limited due to the small 4 by 6 room structure. There is a toilet available I believe. One thing I really appreciated from this, is that the barber was very engaged in making sure everything he did was as I wanted, so he reassured me, which was perfect customer support. Prices: A haircut costs £6 and sets you back another £4 if you get your beard trimmed, overall £10 for a premium haircut, they use gel and aftershave if requested.”
