I went to get a pair of Bourtons. The member of staff was very friendly and very knowledgeable his name was Daniel. Spent time going through different lasts and fits. Really went above and beyond. Great service, very happy with the shoes. But Daniel really made is special and I left happy and will be back again. Thank You
I visited the store with my husband to find him some boots for his birthday. I was served by a lovely chap called Daniel, who was super knowledgable and helpful. He allowed us space to look but was on hand to help in a very professional manner. We didn’t buy this time as wanted to mull it over, but we will be back!

This isn’t your typical high-street “luxury” store where everything feels fake, overpriced, and the staff pretend to care only until the sale is done. Tricker’s is old school in the best possible way. Yes, the prices are high — but you’re paying for true craftsmanship, tradition, and shoes that are actually made by hand. That’s rare these days. What really sets them apart is the service. In London, proper customer service has almost disappeared, but here you still get honest, knowledgeable staff who actually care. They won’t run around you asking empty questions, but they will share years of expertise, guide you with genuine advice, and stand by their products. I’ve bought from Tricker’s several times, and every visit reminds me why I keep returning. Whether I’m buying something new, just browsing, or coming in with an issue, I’ve always been treated with respect and care. It’s one of those rare shops where you feel good just stepping inside.
I recently bought a pair of Black Bourtons in size 5.5 from Daniel and had such a positive experience. I visited the store this past Tuesday and was really impressed by how knowledgeable and friendly Daniel was. He gave me excellent advice and made the whole shopping experience enjoyable. Will definitely visit again. Great store and excellent customer service!
Awesome store on “German” street. English spelling :) I suppose??? I’m joking. Anyway. I walked in with my wife. I’ve talked about these shoes for a month before coming to London. They are every bit as good quality as the internet says they are. Just hands down incredible. I tried on a pair of Bourton Brogue shoes. Unfortunately they weren’t on sale. They fit nice. The salesman said to try on a half size smaller. The fit was 100% perfect. Hands down comfortable. With the construction style, these shoes will become even more comfortable the more they are worn. Just check the internet for how they are made etc. The Brogue shoe style goes all the way back to a very English beginning. They aren’t dress shoes but have become integrated into modern dress styles. A very interesting history. But this store store is just pure class. Thank you very much. You’ve made this trip to London so special.
The service I received from Neil was exemplary in every way. His amiable demeanour and the clarity with which he gave me helpful information made me feel at ease throughout my time in the store. Most importantly, he is a person of integrity. I highly recommend the Tricker's store on Jermyn Street for its beauty and wonderful range of shoes. If you have the good fortune to meet Neil while you are there, you will find his professionalism and character to be of the highest calibre.
The most solid shoes in my wardrobe. The first pair I had for 15 years. Love this place, unpretentious and friendly.
Best experience of the shoemakers on Jermyn street I visited in Dec 2022. Dave Fryman did a great job fitting and advising on the relative usefulness of the shoes we found in my fit. Only went in for sizing but very nearly bought something, can't recommend enough and will be back. Thanks Dave!

Tricker’s are known for their heavy country Brogues and boots. In that category they are without equal. One can tell they are built to last for a very long time. Should the sole need replacing, one can send them to their Northampton factory. It currently costs £150, I believe. What is interesting are the options one has: there are rubber soles in various colours and if one wants the pull tab on a boot to have a different colour to match the sole, then that’s also possible. And not to forget: everything is made in Northampton. Nothing is sent abroad as with some other brands. What needs to be considered is the cost per wear. There are cheaper shoes, but how long do they last? Can they be repaired and if so, on the original last? In the end it’s better to get a pair of Tricker’s :)
