    I had maddy looking after me and she was lovely and really helpful. She walked me through all my options and why they’d be good for me/ not good for me and explained how to properly look after them. It was great service and would definitely come again should I need a new pair of shoes.

    Shoes split after 2 months. The company then came up with random reasons as to why the shoes were defective. They then eventually agreed to repair the shoes but noted it would take some 1-2 months. Id suggest buying shoes from a more respected firm, Baker etc

    I was served by Octavio (if that is even his real name) aka Otto as stated by other people's reviews. He was the most obnoxious man I’ve ever met in my life. His comments were so condescending, arrogant and patronising. For a prestigious brand like this, you would expect the customer service to exceed your expectations, however, I can say that this was the worst customer service I have ever received in the past 40 years that I have lived here. If you want to be disrespected and treated like garbage you should head into this store and be served by OCTAVIO! It’s such a shame because the other branches have amazing customer service.

    Absolutely rude, discriminative, disgusting service from Octavio, we went for a return and immediately he questioned us why we were returning in this branch and not the Russel square branch where I had bought the shoes. I asked him if this was a policy because we weren’t made aware of it but instead he rudely replied it was common sense, I was shocked by his unprovoked rudeness, he carried on to ask why we wanted a refund to which I replied the size for too big for my dad he replied by saying why did he not come in and get a new shoes, which was none of his business but I told him he will come some other time himself then he proceeded tell my friend to shut up when she questioned him why he was being so rude and even told me to travel to the other branch, I don’t understand why he was behaving like this when at the need he managed to give a refund which took him 2 min max. So he could have just given the refund which is his job without being rude. This behaviour is very sad because if my parents whose English isn’t very good would have come themselves then they would have been treated the same. Your employees should be educated on how they should approach customers properly, and made aware of the refund policy and please not to make up their own policy for the company as it gives the company a bad name and we won’t be returning to shop here ever again

    First experience with Loake wasn’t as good as I anticipated. Returned shoes for a repair after less than a handful of wears. In store service during the purchase was good, however the return/repair experience could and should be improved.

    Popped in on 22/07/20 to get polish for my Loake boots as they are looking very tired and desperate for some TLC. Spoke to a really enthusiastic and cheerful gent. Who talked me through the best way to repair my brogues. It was a masterclass on shoe care, everything from what type of cloth to use to the hand action needed to get my desired finish. Just confirmed to me you can't replace going into a good quality shop and speaking to someone who knows their trade. 100% satisfied

Fantastic displays of Loakes Brothers handmade shoes made using the Goodyear-welt technique perfected by this family run business over 140 years since 1880. Big fan of their signature brogues and good value shoe repair service.
