   I went into Deichmann to have a look and saw a pair of shoes in the sale so I grabbed them, went to the till and a man with longish hair served me. He was pleasant enough however he asked me if I'd like to pay to have my shoes protected as they was of a suede material, I said no thank you I have a spray at home I use, he then continues to tell me well if you use our machine it's only £3 odd, again I said I have spray at home then he continues with but it only takes 30 seconds! If a customer has said no to a product there is no need to keep demanding they purchase! This seems to happen by various of members of staff in the shop and I now am beginning to dread going to the tills. Please stop pushing sales on people when they are not interested.

   Took my 83 year old Mum there to get her some much needed comfortable shoes. She cannot walk very far. Asked the shop assistant for a shoe in my Mum's size and was told all sizes available are on the shelves then walked away. NO 'Assistance'. So my husband and I were scoring all the shelves and bringing shoes to my Mum to try on. Doing the Shop Assistants work. Fortunately we found a pair suitable. I think staff need to be trained to support customers. Very unhelpful. Did not feel like a valued customer.

   Rude manager! I bought some working shoes from them but my job didn’t got trough so i had to return them, i sent my daughter to do that, instead of me and they refused to give her refund with the reason that i am not the card holder. She asked them to try, at least, as I knew for sure that refund will go trough on any card , but they refused to try with the reason that is the company policy. They forced me to go home and to come back with that particular card (waste of time and of transport). I refused to waste my time to get the card from home, so one hour later i put my friend to do the same thing at the same branch saying that she has the same card. The refund went trough!!! The manager on site is useless, he wants to be lied in order to give refunds. The company policy doesn’t exist as long as i got my refund on my daughter’s card. If it was real policy the refund wouldn’t go trough at all. Mr. Manager i got my refund even if you didn’t want to proceed. Thank you for NO help! I had to help myself lying to you.

   I bought a pair of shoes for my granddaughter for school at the lakeside shop 3 weeks ago,wasn't given a receipt! The shoe strap broke so returned them to the basildon store,the young assistant SONNY was 100% brilliant, he exchanged the shoes for me even going out of his way to go and find the same pair, The lakeside shop is untidy and the assistant was unhelpful, I won't be visiting the lakeside shop again but the basildon store has my 100% recommendation,

   Very nice young man served me getting school shoes for my 3 granddaughters. The youngest needs to wear a leg brace so I have to buy 2 pairs in different sizes to make a pair. He could not have been more helpful. Excellent service and 3 happy little girls.
