Early afternoon 8/12/25.Went with my adult daughter to buy new trainers for her birthday. The service was exemplary. The sales person was knowledgable and helpful. She explained the reason for foot scan and gait assessment. She gave mid priced options for my daughter to try on and checked space and comfort. Reminded us for my daughter to try in the house first in case either the shoes or support insoles did not work. So then they could be returned and other shoes purchased. Our customer details had been saved (although last shop 2019) and savings offers applied moving forward. Friendly and effective service.

Following our last visit and subsequent poor review, the owners of Sporting Feet got in touch and wanted to put the issue right. We really appreciated this. We went in and saw Dominic who was brilliant with my son. He left, very happy, with a pair of shoes he is excited to wear to his next athletics meet. Dominic really took the time to get to know our son’s needs and we will be very happy to return to Sporting Feet for our next set of trainers. Thank you Geoff and Dominic.
Clearly we are in a minority, but we had an awful experience in this shop this afternoon. We were approached by the manager of the store who asked if we wanted anything other than the running spikes I had selected. My son asked if they had any “super shoes” as he is hoping to receive a pair for his Christmas and birthday present. We were met with a very condescending response. The manager said that “that he had heard this story before” and unless we could tell him my son was running at a national level, that there would be no point in getting such shoes. Fair enough opinion, but it just so happened that my son has just qualified at national level. When I told him this he responded with “yeah but what time is he running?” I was quite shocked and wasn’t sure how to respond at the time, my son was tugging on my arm saying he wanted to leave because frankly this man seemed intent on humiliating him. It was very upsetting. He finished by saying we would need to spend “all day” in central London going to the flagship stores which again seemed strange as there were Tekumi Sen9 on the wall next to us. We were effectively dismissed from the shop and that was that. My son loves running and is good at it, I can’t understand why someone in a specialist running shoe shop would have this kind of attitude towards a young runner. Having been in the Nike store in Kingston the week before, he had been treated with respect and encouragement by the staff there with a guy involved in training young runners really helping him to understand the best shoe for him their store. I expected similar if not better from Sporting Feet.

Dom and Jackie were so helpful, didn't rush it, provided a thorough and expert assessment and their advice was incredibly helpful. They went above and beyond.
