I booked a Manchester cruise for family members as a birthday treat for 20th September 2024. On the 16th September, I got an email below: Good afternoon, Apologies but due to circumstances entirely beyond our control downstream of decisions made by the company whom we charter our boat trips from, we have been forced to postpone our cruises scheduled for this Friday and Saturday. We are trying our hardest to get the cruises rescheduled for later this year and we will reissue your tickets for these rescheduled boats as soon as we can confirm the new dates. If you wish you can move to any other date or cruise as soon as they are published. If this is not acceptable to you, please drop us an email and we will begin the process of refunding your tickets to you. Please accept our sincere apologies for the disappointing news and the late notice of postponement. Yours regretfully, The Liquorists Team No contact details other than email, since the date despite numerous emails the company has failed to respond and I am due a refund of £299. I suspect this company may have unfortunately gone into liquidation. Thankfully we booked on a credit card as should have protection to recover the money under Section 75 claim. Frustrating as we looked forward to the trip.

I booked a cruise for my wife and her friend as a birthday treat for 20th September 2024. On the 16th September, I got an email saying it was cancelled. Since then the company has failed to respond to my emails and an email sent through Eventbrite, and it seems other people have been left in the lurch with no trip and no refund.

The cruise wasn’t exactly what we expected. I was hoping for a few drinks and nice food in a relatively relaxed atmosphere with my partner. However, this cruise is definitely more for groups if you don’t want to be crammed in like sardines on tables of 4 or 6 people. Also, a tip for those in a couple, sit on a table of 4. It was clear that the tables of 4 were receiving the same amount of food and beer as those of us on the tables of 6 which seemed a bit unfair. I did ask for additional beer and the team kindly provided some. Would do the cruise again but only with a group and not for a relaxed evening as a couple as intended.

DO NOT TRUST. Stole our money, refused to rearrange or refund our booking because one of our party had covid. They said we had to give them 21 days notice?! then when we said she will just come they banned us from coming and blocked our accounts!!!! They have cancelled our tickets and refusing a refund. TRADING STANDARDS HAVE BEEN INFORMED.
