    Lawrence is THE WORST customer service manager I’ve dealt with EVER. I tried to return an item and he actively sabotaged it. He didn’t even HAVE THE COURTACY to talk to me, just turned and walked away! This is at Christmas, 23 of December. There were 2 t-shirts that I got as preset and didn’t fit. A mere £60 that was only getting store credit for. The cashier manager was happy to help but he had to intervene to make sure I don’t get it. Used to shop at Sports Direct quite a bit, but if this does not get sorted, I will not do that again. This will also go to Sports Direct customer service.

    WARNING: AVOID WATFORD SPORTS DIRECT AT ALL COSTS! I'm still fuming about my horrific experience at this store! I waited for over 15min with 15+ others, only to be singled out and asked for ID. When I asked why, they had the audacity to cite "fraud issues" as if I'm some kind of suspect! Let me make one thing clear: I'M THE CUSTOMER, NOT THE CRIMINAL! The way I was treated was not only humiliating but also discriminatory. I felt like I was being profiled and targeted. The lack of respect and empathy from the staff was appalling. I've never felt so disrespected in my life. To their credit, the manager did apologize multiple times when I complained after the payment. I appreciate his apology and acknowledge that he was genuinely sorry for the incident. However, it doesn't erase the feeling of being targeted and insulted. The experience has left a sour taste, and I wouldn't recommend this store to anyone. Until they change their discriminatory practices and train their staff to treat customers with respect, I'd advise others to shop elsewhere. 1/5 star

    One of the worst retail experiences I’ve ever had. I went into the store over the weekend with the simple intention of trying on two pairs of trainers and buying one. What should have been a straightforward visit turned into a complete disaster. When I got to the shoe section upstairs, there was no staff around at all. After standing there waiting for far too long, a member of staff finally appeared and he was unbelievably rude. He ignored me at first, acted like helping me was an inconvenience, and gave off an attitude the entire time. It then took him almost 30 minutes to bring out the shoes, and even after that long wait, he still brought the wrong size. At that point, I had already wasted so much time that I didn’t even bother waiting for the correct pair. To make things worse, when I asked for his name or to speak to a supervisor so I could file a complaint, the supervisor refused to give his name as well. It’s shocking that a store allows staff to behave like this and then shields them from any accountability. The service here has been consistently poor, but this experience was beyond unacceptable. I walked out without the shoes I wanted and with absolutely no intention of returning.

    Absolutely horrible staff! I must’ve spent 100s of pounds on SD products across outlets and I know that staff politeness is not their strongest point. But the watford outlet is a different level of rude. Tried to ask about printing custom name for my son for a product bought from SD Manchester, she was least interested in even hearing properly. Replied with a curt “no” without explaining what and why. On questioning her she gave a completely made up reason different from what others in the same shop were saying. As if they are doing a favor. If they continue this, footfalls will soon disappear.

    Extremely unpleasant experience. Recently, I went to the shop during the week, around 1pm. I was looking for a quick in and out, try two pairs of trainers that I was interested in Buy one and go. The service was horrendous. There was no one in the shoe section upstairs to help me for ages. Then a guy appeared, but at the start, he completely ignored me. When he finally decided to help, I had to wait 30 minutes for him to bring the wrong shoe size.. I decided i couldn't waste another 30 minutes for the correct one.. In the end, I wasted an hour of my time, which was my lunchbreak, and couldn't get the shoes I wanted. If the service was better, the shop would do so much better. But the service has been bad for a long time now.

    It is appalling how a large sports store with at least 15 staff members aren’t able to help customers at all. It wasn’t crowded, or busy. I stopped many staff members to ask for help with shoe sizes and no one could help except with this kind gentleman. He was also helping 5 other customers at the same time. Meanwhile all the other staff members were fooling around, flirting with each other and making fun of customers. As a tourist, I find this disgusting and will never shop at this store. As a business partner to other English organizations, I’ll will advice my partners on how bad the service in this particular location is.

    Worst customer service ever. My husband was trying shorts on (on top floor changing room at 4:45pm on 31 jul 2022), a woman staff walked in with a key without knocking on the door without saying anything at all even he said I am in here. Imagine if a man walk into a woman changing room like this, it will be a big deal but the staff didnt even apologise at all. Soon after that, the shop began to close and the staff became incredible rude. It is like we no longer a customer anymore... If you are in rush to close a store, dont let your customer come in prior to the shop close time. Sales is a professional job but i didnt see it in the staff we met today. We heard another customer really angry how she was spoken with by another member of staff too...

    If you had no stars they’d get a 0, rude and do not answer the phone, they pick the phone up and busy tone it! This is the theme with all their branches, I’ve called Greenford, Harrow and Watford all do the same thing. I’m surprised that they are still in business!!

    I know with this store you get what you pay for, but do the staff get trained how to ignore customers before working for this company? Worked out myself I needed to go upstairs to get what I needed and ended up serving myself as the boxes and sizes were out. Thankfully I knew what I needed, found the size and got out, but can imagine the mayhem if I needed to quiz one of the staff, if one would have willingly stopped to help me...! The girl at checkout was pleasant enough, hence an extra star. Hope not to return
