I can't recommend Chelsea enough. I have a frizzy curly hair type and her cut/finish was the best I've ever experienced. She perfectly matched the cut picture I showed her too.
It was my first visit to the salon, and I had such a fantastic experience! Megan was super friendly and picked out the most amazing color that I adore. I was a bit worried about my curly hair getting damaged, but the team was so helpful and supportive, making it easy for me to decide. I can't wait to come back!
I really don’t like leaving bad reviews for small businesses. But…The whole thing was a bit uncomfortable. The kit and floor is dirty and the brushes were full of hair. My hair was getting knotted but the stylist just pulled through the knots. It’s been 3 hours and my scalp still feels a bit of burning from the drying / brushing. She didn’t really take the time to consult and get to understand what I wanted either. I didn’t walk out feeling great. The cut itself is fine but pretty sure she pulled some of my hair out in the process. As a client who’s come looking forward to a nice service I would have liked more tlc
I have been going to Gemma at the black house salon for a couple of years now. She’s always done an amazing job. Her service is next to non. The whole atmosphere of the salon is so relaxed, everyone who works here is so polite. Wouldn’t go anywhere else.
Had a lovely haircut done today! The young girl that did it was lovely and welcoming, we had a nice chat and she did a fab job of my hair. I get quite anxious but felt totally at ease here, it wasn’t too overwhelming or busy. Thank you!
I always use Robbie for my haircut, although all the staff are lovely and obviously talented. Robbie is a master at cutting short hair (both women and men). He always cuts my hair brilliantly and exactly how I want it. His suggestion are always helpful. I wouldn’t want to go anywhere else. A premium salon that is worth the extra for the experience and the quality.
Had been looking to find a new regular salon since I moved to Huddersfield over 4 years ago but nowhere felt right until I first went to Black House. Chelsea is incredible at what she does, she always manages to give me the perfect haircut and it’s always exactly what I envisioned! I’ll never go anywhere else again!
I’ve been going to Black House since discovering it post lockdown. Always great service, very welcoming & friendly vibe. Robbie is great at what he does, seems to have an instinct for what I want and works best with my hair. Couldn’t recommend the salon more.
I love going to Black House, both me and my daughter have our hair cut by Chelsea. Chelsea gives great advice on what to do and I trust her judgment 100% Most recently my daughter used Gemma, when Chelsea wasn’t available. Gemma stepped in and put so much effort into my daughters hair, which was extremely knotted to start with! Excellent customer service, always offered a drink and great conversation! Lovely atmosphere, with a relaxed, client focused environment. Would definitely recommend.
Robbie is my guy when it comes to time for my nieces to have their hair cut... they absolutely love the salon experience. Robbie is excellent with kids and knows how to work with them which a lot of salons don't do. He's patient and understanding.. highly recommend
