Just had a gentleman called Phil today, he was so helpful and patient as i’ve never been to the tip before haha ! thank you phil your help was greatly appreciated today.
My first time getting some wood from Tippers, What a disappointment. went to Lichfield branch as mine always says "out of stock" for the size I want, Lady at reception was most helpful when taking my order. ( she's why you got more than one star). drove round the back as instructed, and waited, and watched, as the yard guys finished what they were doing then huddled in a corner for a chat. ONLY when one of them realised i was staring at them did he come over to ask if I was being seen. so from ordering to getting the wood about 20 mins. this was in a yard that was not busy, good job they wern't. As for the wood, ordered 6 pieces of 22mm x 150mm x 2.4m Treated Timber. just look at the photos and video to see what i got, didn't notice some of it as i wanted to get back home, along with the warping and bowing there's going to be some waste there. Lesson Learnt
We recently moved house and wanted to add some matching cabinets / worktop. Having found that Tippers supply the range we needed, we took a trip to the Lichfield branch. Didn't have what I was after, the store is a bit muddled.
Needed some MDF cut to size to replace a floorboard, took the one I needed down and they honestly couldn't have been more helpful, and just I'm stood there expecting that'll be £15 please I get that's £4! Cheaper than wicks, I usually use collis but from now on I'll be going here, 10/10 if you get chance give them a go

Went to collect a bulk bag of gravel from here. Staff are very friendly, no messing about from the lads in the yard they loaded the bag into the back of my van with the forklift, in and out in 10 minutes no problems.
Staff are very helpful and quick , great place to deliver too.. Special to me as I used to deliver newspapers as a boy to Walter and his wife at their bungalow...Very nice people
