   Concern About Aggressive Upselling at Checkout Dear Customer Service, I am writing to share my disappointment with the sales approach I recently experienced in stores few times. At the till, I was asked multiple times about additional products such as waterproof spray, insoles, and shoe cleaners. Even after I politely declined, I was asked again if I was “sure” I didn’t want them, which felt very pushy and frustrating. What stood out is that this approach is very similar to Footlocker’s aggressive checkout style, where customers are pressured into saying yes to extras. Unfortunately, this type of upselling delays the shopping process, makes the experience uncomfortable, and leaves a negative impression. I value Deichmann as a retailer, but I do not appreciate being pressured in this way. A friendly recommendation is fine, but a persistent, scripted approach drives customers away rather than encouraging loyalty.    I visited the Deichmann store in Stratford Westfield with my son to buy school shoes, and I was very disappointed with the customer service. Two members of staff seemed unwilling to help and came across as rude when approached. Their attitude made the shopping experience unpleasant, and I decided to take my business elsewhere. This will be the last time I visit this store. If you’re looking for good customer service, I would recommend shopping elsewhere. The staff here would really benefit from proper customer service training.

   This store is horrible because of the sale assistant!! Trying on shoes and she walked past and said 'move your shoes from the floor' (my own shoes that were there whilst trying on shoes). I ignored her and she carried on trying to fight me walked off and said hold on as if she was getting back up! Crazy behaviour and not customer service at all, do they even train their staff on customer service or how to do the job? Are they being paid to fight and harass the customer?! Absolutely crazy!! When I complained to who looked like a manager they said sorry she just started the job and is from another country and maybe is having a bad day. Not good enough! I've worked in retail before and I was never rude to anyone because I had a manager who trained me to do my job properly! This is a horrible store walked out without buying what I wanted!! Why are their sale assistants allowed to walk around the store bullying customers is absolutely disgusting!!! The managers should be managing their staff too!!! Horrible store!!!

   I wanted another pair size 7 boots but had no more in stock. Gisela (German Lady) at Stratford E20 Store was extremely helpful and even went to the till to check if warehouse had any in stock for delivery to store for me, she is very polite and very helpful

   I usually buy my childrens school shoes from here. However, the quality is not the same throughout. Some of their shoes have lasted the school year, but on two occasions the sole has come apart from the shoe in a few months. This last incident happened this year after I paid extra for the special shoe treatment they offer. I was unable to return them as I couldn't find the receipt.
