The Short Version: Avoid this shop, if your getting keys cut, he can not cut keys to save his life! Tools are over priced and there is a BnQ close by, do not waste your time, as if there is an issue with any purchases, the owner will not care and act as if you've cost him money. The Long Version: I had been to this guy a few times for bits and bobs and he always seemed fine. That was until I got a key cut from him. The key didn't work, so I took it back to him, he then gave me two keys and told me to try them and bring them back... Why he can't just do it correctly the first time I don't know. I then try and put the one key into the lock and it bends and snaps getting stuck into my front door. I couldn't get in or out. I went back and told the guy, he showed no sympathy and basically told me he isn't a locksmith, so I asked him for some pliers which to be fair he did give me as I tried to get the door out the lock. Couldn't get it out and the cost for a locksmith later. I go back with the barrel with the key still in it, he tries to get it out to no avail. I ask him for another barrel, with a discount for the key which I never received. I then realised that the barrel only had 3 keys and I needed four as that's how many people needed a key. He said sure that will be 3 pounds. I told him I've been coming here for quite some time, you've caused me a massive inconvenience today could you not throw in an extra key as a good will sign of good faith as I only had enough for the barrel on me, as he doesn't except card payments. He said no and actually had the nerve to say I owed him an apology! I was then interested and wanted to check something as I has a theory, he had the balls to say it was my barrel that was broken, I paid for the new barrel from him and paid to have a new key cut after going and getting the cash. The guy couldn't even cut the key for a brand new barrel! AHAHA I said to him how is that possible, I've just bought it from you, it's brand new. His response I can give you the 3 pound back. I told him can't you just cut the key properly? He tried again it was still sticky but I took it as I wanted all this nonsense behind me. To summarise I will never be shopping there again and would recommend to anyone that they do not bother with this place.
