   I've had my hair cut here since I was about 14-15 (15 years ago now!), and the staff never fail to deliver. I recently came to have my hair cut again after a year away, and Emma was able to fix me right back up again beautifully!

   This is a nice place, is always clean and tidy. They are very patient with my children and always make sure they and I are happy with the result. A paper to read while they are busy and coffee is available. Always a sweet treat for the children afterwards.

   More expensive than elsewhere to cut my toddler's hair, but worth the extra spend, given that it's still only £12. She managed to shape his hair nicely where others have just chopped length. Nice attention to detail. Would definitely recommend.

   My first time experience at North For Men on 21/05/22. I had my 8am appointment with Saiqa for a shampoo cut and finish. My overall experience was very underwhelming as there was the service took just over an hour to finish. (I had a train to catch which I missed as i didnt want to rush her) Her consultation was very short and lacking as she barely got any information from me, so how are you going to understand the client's needs and know what results to work towards to? I was sat there made to feel very uncomfortable and awkward throughout the service. although the other barbers did say good morning to me, isn't it basic courtesy to be offered a drink when I watched other people being offered one too, regardless if they are regulars or not? Her cutting skills were very amateurish, the sectioning, clipping and cutting wasn't clean, never asked where my actual parting was, and my hair was still left uneven and she could not even spot the uneven patch at the back of my hair where I mentioned needing fixing. ( I had not had it cut for almost 2 years) Her clipper work was sloppy, lazy, didnt seem to care, it felt like I got a buzzcut instead of a high skin fade because she just recklessly shaved off the weighted part of my sides that created the straight look, now my head looks very round because of it. I could say much more about her professionalism and skills but I will not because I had waited a long time to find and try to trust a place to do my hair correctly. I am not expecting an amazing salon experience, because at the end of the day, I paid £26 to basically get my hair half arsedly done and shaved off, now I will have to grow it out again to get it redone. Thank you but no thank you, I will not come here again.

   Today was not the first time I have visited North for Men. I wouldn't go anywhere else. The welcome is always warm and friendly, and David is good value for the "mid haircut chat". All very professional from start to end, and I trust David with scissors and clippers. What more could you ask for?
