This is my favourite Costa. Staff are always great, good service, food & drink fab. Toilets are always clean, plenty of sockets for my laptop and phone.
my dad was trying to ask what kind of offer was shown on the screen (£6.49 lunch meal), he got ignored so I asked again and the staff shrugged her shoulders saying she doesn't know, followed with 'whatever offer that is it will come up on the till'. This wasn't helpful at all and considering she had an attitude whilst answering us did not make me feel like I would want to come back. This is also aside from the fact that they treated every other white person well but when I saw another coloured/brown/BAME/global majority family go up to the till, all of the staff behind the till changed their mood shown by their face. They started to whisper to each other and was not at all helpful to their questions. I have been here many times and experienced something of the sort. Many of those times I have just brushed it off but this is one too many times now and this site is one I would never suggest to go to.
I hate writing a bad review because I've been coming to this Costa for years and the staff are some of the best people about. However today me my mum and little girl came in and was served by an extremely rude big blonde woman, who we felt was even rolling her eyes at us at one point. No customer service and made us feel like we were bothering her for being there. I asked for My drink in a takeaway one which seemed to bother her, so the. She's decided to put all our drinks in takeaway ones. My 2 year old got a babychino and when she took a sip said "ouchhhh hot" so I put my finger in and it was boiling milk! Just disappointing and honestly the other staff members are so lovely friendly and welcoming, but we really don't even want to come back now.
Unbelievably rude lady at the drive thru. Heavy blonde lady with glasses. Makes your drink wrong then throws out unnecessary rude comments. Will be sticking to Starbucks next door. She needs training stat.
Nice place to stop off for a drink after shopping. Can get busy on weekends but nice and clean.
Weekly visitor when doing my weekly shop the staff are lovely always happy to help.... Toilets are mostly clean obviously depends on what animal uses it before you but the staff do keep on top of them.... My only pet peev is that it could do with some new furniture it's looking a little worse for wear now
Great place to meet friends, even when it's busy there's usually always a seat available. Staff have always been fab and drinks are made to a good standard both sit in and take away.
This is quite a small Costa considering it is in the centre of St. Helens. Although we visited during the week we still struggle for a seat. The coffee was good as normal and the food was equally good. Really friend staff that made the visit. Overall it was a pleasant visit, although a little crowded...
