Although the shop has a good selection of decorative items, the staff are not particularly friendly and each time I have been there, I have had to seek help, never offered.
Really helpful staff member when I visited this evening!
Do not be deceived, this is a proper homebase, but it has no car park of its own and it is not in the warehouse style that you expect. Just be aware of that.
2nd time I've been to the new shop, 1st time was Saturday morning excellent, the staff were helpful, informative, friendly. The 2nd time not so much this Sunday (12th Dec) early pm the guy in the paint shop could not have looked less interested if he'd tried, eventually he engaged with us, the service was adaquate, I do think this new store is far better than the previous shed type shop as they have stock on the shelves, however, with this local shop type of branch the staff is key and quite clearly some are not people persons so that will determine the service you receive. Revisited again 12-04-22 and service in the hardware section is excellent
Significantly smaller than the former iteration, but 'warmer', inasmuch as whoever is working there tends to be compelled by the physical proximity to try conversation!!! Very helpful, if one knows roughly what one is looking for

The kitchen and bathroom showroom staff were so helpful and knowledgeable . Shanelle made the whole process of designing our new kitchen easy and is such a pleasant person to work with .
They are on smaller premises in 3 adjacent shops but have packed in a good range of useful stuff. Staff helpful. The 20 min free parking with fines for overrun is a bit tight if you are buying something needing research and discussion, there are not many spaces out front. Not a problem if you park over sainsbury's. It's an easy way for homebase to make some more profit from your visit....
