Such a delightful homemade cake and perfect mugs of hot chocolate! But best of all was the welcome from the team working there- we were visiting Chester for a day and we left with multiple notes of recommendations of what else to do while visiting and well warmed from both the hot chocolate and kindness!

Absolutely charming cafe right on the Chester Walls at the clock!! Gorgeous little dining area inside or tables available outside on the walkway. Staff were so friendly & welcoming. I had a delicious chocolate milkshake and a slice of the BEST carrot cake I’ve ever had.

What a FANTASTIC wee café! We had a great coffee and tea and the pie!! Yum! The history of this place is VERY interesting with the portholes and the story of how the really lovely current owners saved this building and turned it into something EVERYONE can enjoy, including sitting outside. THANK YOU so much, guys!

Wonderful space to sit and enjoy a pot of tea with home baked goodies plus a pint of Chester beer. The location is unique being on the city wall beside the Eastgate clock. Staff are friendly and even though we were there end of the day we did not feel like we were being rushed out the door. The porthole window to peer through down to the street transports one back to Victorian times.

Superb ice-cream! Had a walk around the city centre of Chester and found this little café at the end of the old city wall. Was tired and nothing could beat a double cone of ice-cream. I chose mocha coffee and vanilla honey. Both were true to the taste as what the names suggest. I would definitely come back for another round of ice-cream if I ever visit this town again.

Outstanding little coffee shop and ice cream shop, staff were fantastic, food was outstanding (had 2 of the nicest tea cakes ever). You must take time to stop off on your way round the city walls. Pictures attached are from inside the coffee shop.

Great place to stop for a coffee/ice-cream/beer while doing the wall walk. It's dog friendly and you can get some dog ice-cream for your canine. The owner Neil is also a beer brewer and I loved his summer brew. Don't forget to take a peek through the port hole in the wall within the cafe. This is also the start point of an evening Chester guided walk by Dave Atkinson. I joined for his "dark" tour and it was really good! The kids loved it too. Would definitely recommend it.

Popped in for a coffee. You have to go up either stairs next to the clock and along a short section of the City Walls. Inside is interesting and old, you can see the Eastgate Clock and there is a ships port hole in the wall to view the Cross. They have a small cafe selling Coffee, Teas, Beer and Icecream.

It's an amazing little find, was an antique shop, the owners have turned it into a craft beer shop and cafe. They create the beer themselves with a blond, a bitter, a porter and more. Well made and great serves. Best novelty is there is a port hole inside that you can look down Chester through, it's an awesome view. Lovely people the see cake from the local bakers too and that was lovely. Really nice owner and super help, craft beer was very good too. I had the porter. Will definitely come back!
