Absolutely disgraceful experience at Howdens Harrow! Walked in and immediately got a bad feeling, and rightly so. Raj and his team seem to play games with figures, and now they’ve slapped a £930 bill onto my account for no reason! I originally received the wrong-sized items (their mistake!), went back to swap them, and suddenly they’ve tried to charge me for it. I could literally see them messing around with the numbers when I was there—shady as anything. Avoid this place at all costs unless you want to be ripped off! Zero accountability, zero customer service, and full of sneaky tactics. If you value your money, go elsewhere!
Extremely helpful and very knowledgeable Asst. Manager, Wayne, nothing was too much trouble. Thoroughly helped me with my needs. Excellent service. Great choice of quality products.
A bit wierd staff. Someone called me from Harrow branch (don't want to disclose the name) and asked me questions about my kitchen. All happy till then. I was then asked if I have a quote from somewhere else. I said yes and she insisted that I disclose to her. I said no. The very fact that I am trying to get a quote is to see the competitiveness of Howdens. They claim to be never beaten on price and if that is true, why worry about who has offered me what? I said this is a weird policy and she said it is the way they operate! Really????? Poor service in my view, scared actually. The lady then said she will call me after speaking with the manager, I am waiting since 3 days now..... Lazy and untrustworthy I feel!
Quality products and great customer service.
After getting quotes and designs from a few of the well known High Street chains I decided to go with howdens Harrow. Rishi's experience was apparent with some of the subtle design features and suggestions. I was given a survey both before and after plastering which altered the design adding a few centremetres for a wider unit. Very happy with the design and service.
James was a fantastic help. He referred me to Rishi who did a great job of my kitchen
We have been with the Harrow branch since 2008 and the team are fantastic! You get a real sense of engagement and attention to detail. I would 100% recommend using the harrow branch if you’re looking to buy a new kitchen, internal doors, skirting and loads of other household items!
Update 2: last month, about a year after the below, and long after I had given up on any refund, my builder contacted me to tell me Howdens had credited his account with my refund, without any explanation or contact - this after they had denied multiple times anything was due back. Bizarre Update: ‘sharing my review with the depot in question' did not result in anything except a short email from the same salesman washing his hands of the situation and blaming my builder. Strange, since I had no other issues with my builder, who also worked great with all other contractors and suppliers in the 4 months he worked on the house. Think twice before spending 000's of £ at a company that seems to have no escalation process for complaints when things go wrong.... Pros: the kitchen they designed and delivered looks good. Cons: They did not deliver some items - they promised to deliver them later (they didn't). Also, the nature of a large build is that sometimes extra parts have to be ordered during the build and other parts are returned and whilst Howdens were happy to take our money for new items, they have not honoured their promise to credit the returned items back. It has now been over 6 months and they have repeatedly ignored contact from ourselves and our builder and have therefore basically just kept a few hundred £ of our money
