Nice products but as others have mentioned, staff are not interested. The two staff in the store didn’t greet me when I entered the store but just stood in the corner drinking a coffee. One of them kept coughing and perhaps shouldn’t have been working if he was to spread his germs around. Still no acknowledgment when I walked around the store or when I was leaving. Their arrogance cost them my business as I then went elsewhere.

I went in to buy a Father's Day gift today. Francisca was very helpful, she helped me choose between two colour options and even made a very refeshing lime drink. Very swift service, I was in and out in 15 minutes.

I popped in there the other day because I was interested in one of the Smeg refrigerators. I had absolutely no help from any of the staff, in fact there was only one staff member on duty, and although I’ll probably still buy a Smeg refrigerator I really don’t think it is down to the staff in their flagship store.

I am very disappointed with Smeg, I bought a kettle and toaster and it was delivered by post which is great but once it arrived I noticed the letters were scratched. Not just that, when I found the Smeg warranty booklet, someone had stepped on it and put it back in the box. When I sent an email to the store one of the ladies said β€œohh it’s okey for the letters to be like that”, after me complaining that it’s not okay they finally agreed that it should be rectified and I should exchange the product. I was advised to complete a form on their website. When going to the form on their website, their website was broken and I could not fill out the form. So again back on the phone to customer service and having to wait an extremely long time to get through to them, finally I got through to them and a manger actually processed the exchange through the phone no idea why they didn’t do that first time. I was then told the exchange would take more than week for me to receive the appropriate quality products. At that point I just requested a refund. SMEG is an expensive brand and you expect a quality product and the best service I have experienced neither.

Ordered and paid for a combi microwave and cooker hood in June22. As of October22 it still hadn't arrived in the country, supposedly? Anyway by the time it had, we had already received the items from a different supplier. Having requested a refund we contacted SMEG speaking with Daryl, who had previously emailed us with updates on the delivery. However having requested a refund he now (today) advised it was no longer his responsibility and that the refund was being dealt with by someone else- but was unable to give a name or dept. Our refund request/cancellation 2 weeks prior to this review still remains outstanding. Given their reluctance to refund our monies, we have had to inform them matters would no be escalated via the small claims court. Honestly SMEG as a company are dreadful. This is not the first occasion we have had to raise a complaint. Their products are shoddy and not well built. Their products are simply not worth the money and the customer service is shocking. 1, Cooker hood does not extract 2, Toasters will toast heavily (virtually burn) on one side leaving the other pale in comparison. 3, Their Steam ovens are a party trick one that is sadly inconsistent. We are privileged enough to own many high brand appliances. Avoid SMEG - as they are simply cheap Chinese built rubbish. Do not buy the spiel that they're produced in Italy. Buy German every time. If nothing else they will be willing to help in the unlikely event something goes wrong

2 years ago I Purchased Smeg products, 2 ovens, a gas hob and a combi microwave/oven. Purchased Smeg as I thought I would pay a bit more and the quality would reflect the cost.. HOW WRONG I WAS. The microwave has gone rusty inside. I paid Β£780 for this appliance, when contacting customer service I was told the same product was now Β£1,100 and rusty microwave was not covered under warranty’s but as a good will gesture they would take into consideration that I have used the item for 2 years and asked me to pay Β£480 towards a new product!! The item is not fit for purpose and should be replaced with a new product as a microwave should not rust within 2 years!!

Thank you so much to Andrea for a really enjoyable half an hour in this fabulous shop. Such a friendly, relaxed atmosphere and so many amazing appliances. Andrea was so knowledgeable and interesting as she talked about different appliances. I would highly recommend a visit, it is a shop, but visually fabulous like an art gallery with spectacular designs and colours and a very impressive, huge living wall of plants.
