   The young man that served me was really polite and friendly. The coffee and sandwiches were really nice. But I think £19 is outrageous considering it's inside a hospital where I was visiting a friend who had a stoke. I visit everyday so couldn't afford those prices everyday.

   I'd love to know how Costa go about doing their hiring, because their staff were completely disorganised and were visibly getting irritated with each other in front of customers. It seems like they hire people with absolutely no experience in cafes or simply making a coffee.

   Only one taking orders. Two cleaning behind counter and one clearing tables. The one serving was also preparing coffees. An elderly gent was waiting to order. No acknowledgement. He commented on the fact the girl was the only one doing any work. Then commented that the others could make more of a effort. To which he was informed that he had been very rude and if he did it again they would refuse to serve him. Having observed this. I felt it wasn't warranted and just thought I would comment as he seemed quite upset.

   (Rewritten review) I had a disappointing experience start of the year, but since then it’s been a lot better. So I will rewrite the review. It’s a decent sized hospital Costa Coffee, a fair selection of seating based on the relatively small size of the unit. The queues use to get very long, but the new installation of ordering screens is welcome and will cut back on hospital staff and patients having to queue to place an order. So well done for this. They’ve improved their game too, they have not given any wrong drinks and it’s a clean store, an improvement over the beginning of the year. It is a more expensive store, with it being a prime location with high footfall and not many alternative options. Whilst there is a fair bit of seating, it can sometimes get very busy with it being such a busy hospital.

   Brilliant staff, usually run off their feet and trying to do at least 10 things at once. The only real issue here is seating. There's plenty for customers, unfortunately there are large number of visitors who view the seating as 'hospital seating', and not only for customers. Hence, expect to find many of the seats occupied by individuals too selfish to even bother buying a cheap item (admittedly not many items are cheap) while they sit and read the paper etc. It really does need 'customer only seating' signs around the area!

   The staff at this costa are the best I’ve ever experienced as a frequent costa goer. Always very friendly and service is quick and efficient. I have returned more than usual as a result.

   PSA - Don’t ask for any help from the servers unless you want a sarcastic comment from the person serving you. I drink costa a lot from various different locations and Iv never been made to feel so belittled. Being in a hospital you would have thought that the people serving would have an appreciation that patients could be having a bad day or just told some awful news (unfortunately this was the case for myself) and wanting a coffee to take the edge of it. Is it too much to ask for a friendly face and to answer a simple question nicely? On my next visit to the hospital I’ll just not bother visiting this location and go down the road to the drive through Costa in Sealand.
