Ngl, I saw the 5* rating and thought it was hype but oh was I wrong. Walked in, got welcomed in by pretty much everyone in the place. Took a seat and got some drinks, got a sprite and a peach ice tea, which has to be one of the best bottled peach ice teas I’ve ever had. Ordered The Mechada and the lady said there was a homemade hot sauce they could add to which I was like “yes please!” A few moments later the food had arrived, warm crusty roll which was so soft on the inside with just the right amount of crunch to it. Sandwich looked amazing and still in the back of my mind I was like nah this can’t be true. Took a bite and omg, mind blowing flavours. The hot sauce wasn’t too hot but it just gave me that little bit of a nose run that got my tastebuds smiling. Whilst sat there, an elderly couple come in just to have a cup of coffee and the relationship these customers had with the staff there was like they were family. Super friendly staff were wishing the couple best of luck with a house move and the couple were saying how much they were going to miss this place and tbh I don’t blame them. Deserved of the 5 star rating imo, so get down there and have a taste for yourself.

This is definitely up there with my favourite place to eat in Liverpool! The staff are great, the food is insane and the atmosphere is always bouncing! I absolutely love it in here, Borja and Tasha are one of the most friendliest of couples and always go above and beyond for their customers. I mostly go for the chicken with meatballs and a slice of sourdough with the gorgeous salsa. This is not on the menu but it’s never too much trouble for Borja to make. Beautiful food, I’m so happy it’s booming for this couple! They’ve worked on hospitality for years and they deserve every amount of success! Their parties are always bouncing too! Make it a must for trying!

First visit and hopefully not the last cause I would like to go back there again and again to enjoy a great weekend. Staff are very welcoming, friendly, helpful and the food was delicious. I do like spicy food but what I ordered definitely has been added to one of my favourites meal since I am fussy when it comes to food :) They are opened Monday to Saturday and believe they close on Sunday, so best to check on the page before heading there. Definitely worth a visit

I've been wanting to come here since the first time I heard from this place on social media. We live in Manchester so not too far. It did not disappoint. We had the special burger, the lomo sandwich and tortilla with bread and tomato, and everything was delicious, I can't wait to come back. We also had a few beers, which are my favourite brand from where I'm from in Spain. The staff was also lovely. What a great place!

When you enter in Castro's cafetería is like going back home to Spain. The service is great and the food is amazing. If you are around don't hesitate to try the menú! Breakfast, lunch or dinner, it doesn't matter! The bocadillos (butty) with carne mechada is a must!

Great place with authentic Spanish food. Outstanding tortilla - next time I’ll have the carne mechada which smelled amazing.
