Fantastic cafe in Mold best full cooked breakfast in mold and reasonably priced too. Great choice and big portions. The staff are amazing and very attentive. Great atmosphere and clean. I believe there is now an area out the back to eat outside and dogs are welcome too.

Great full English— If you’re ever in Mold and in desperate need of a proper breakfast to cure the night before, Mel’s Cafe is the place to be. Just around the corner from Polly’s Social, this friendly local spot serves up an incredible full English breakfast that hits the mark every time. The plate was absolutely loaded – crispy hash browns, sizzling sausages, hearty slices of bacon, perfectly fried eggs, baked beans, and thick, golden toast. But the real highlight? The double helping of black pudding – rich, flavourful, and cooked to perfection. It’s easily one of the best I’ve had and alone is worth a visit. The service at Mel’s Cafe was warm and welcoming, the coffee strong, and the setting relaxed – exactly what you need whether you’re fuelling up for the day or nursing a heavy head after a night at Polly’s Social. It’s obvious the locals love it too; there’s a steady buzz of people coming through, and the staff genuinely seem to care about making sure you leave satisfied. If you’re in the Mold area, Mel’s Cafe should absolutely be on your list. Whether you’re after a top-quality breakfast, a friendly atmosphere, or simply a reliable place to recharge, you’ll find it here.

Not a good lunch. Were told the cod was hand battered, but no, it was a nearly cremated frozen fish portion, and can't even hazard a guess at what type of fish. Good fries and nice fresh salad, but had to send the"fish"back. I ordered sausages instead, but the meat content was zero, so I didn't eat them either, they were quite unpleasant. Strange really, as the best pork butchers for miles is a few doors down, so why not get proper sausages.? My sister ordered an omlette in place of the burnt fish, but the omlette was also burnt on the underside. Felt sorry for the waitress who was clearly embarrassed. Nice mug of tea though. Won't be going back.

Went here for lunch and ordered the fish and chips after being assured they were hand battered and cooked fresh on premises, they were cheap frozen pre battered and then burnt by chef !! Sister said she would have 2 sausages instead but took them home for the local fox as they were the worst of cheap frozen sausages !!! I chose to have the omelette as thought that would be a safe option, wrong, the underside was black so whole thing tasted burnt they even had the cheek to charge for it after me sending it back uneaten. Feel really sorry for waitress as she was lovely but whoever is playing at being a cook really needs to step away and get someone who knows how to prepare food so it is edible !! Will never go back to eat but they do a decent cup of tea.

The bacon eggs and black pudding were tasty, I didn't like the sausages, coffee top ups would be good as the coffee cups are small. Overall we enjoyed our breakfast. Service was good.

Went in for a full breakfast with my wife this morning and was well worth it. Perfect breakfast beautiful cup of tea as well. Will be going back for sure and looking forward to it. The service we got was great sat down asked if we would like a drink while we looked at the menu which was great. Ordered food came out shortly after and tastes fantastic.

Always a great experience here. Staff all very polite and helpful. A great selection on the menu and our breakfasts were fresh, hot and tasty. Very competitively priced too, two breakfasts with hot drinks for less than £15..... can't go wrong. We'll be back soon.
